How do I pair a luxe with a child account? Once I enter my child’s age, I only get ace options to pair

Hello @Alitiefen and welcome to the Community forum. I’m sorry, but the Ace series is the only Fitbit for a child’s account. A Luxe must be on a standard account. Your child must be 13 and older in the US and many other countries (sometimes even older) in order have a standard account. In a nutshell, it has to do with how Fitbit handles personal data and internet privacy laws.
Sorry.

I came here for the exact same problem/question. Is that the reason? I don't see what personal data and internet privacy has to do with it, because those are software matters not hardware. Software and the information that is being captured/sent can be changed based on age profiles. Seems a bit short sighted of Fitbit as I imagine a lot of parents will be taking back their devices for a refund. 10+ year old kids don't want the devices for younger children.

@borris14 A standard account has a web dashboard. A child can’t have a standard Fitbit account for the same reason they can’t have a Facebook account.

I don't see the link with Facebook tbh. There is a device (watch) which sends data to a user interface. This data be presented and restricted in different ways. It's just data. If the fitbbit ace can do it, there's no reason why the fitbhit luxe can't do it other than it being an intentional decision by the manufacturer for whatever reason. It's got nothing to do with law.
