Luxe heart rate spikes while watching TV

So today I was watching TV with my son and my watch went off for active minutes.  My hr was showing 205, I couldn't get it to come down. I even took it off my and put it on my son and it came down to 130. After a lil bit like 5 minutes it went back to my normal 70s. I have severe health anxiety. I checked my pulse and it wasn't that fast. I was going to chalk it up to just a glitch, but then I looked back and it keeps happening at the same time with a few days in between.  Can someone please tell me this is just a glitch and it's happened to you.  Afterwards I reset the fitbit. But still...

Hi there, @Kristeen24. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your heart rate is spiking when watching TV. I appreciate you taking the time to share those screenshots. I understand where your concern is coming from, I will do my best to help you with this!

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend resetting the heart rate settings by following the steps below:

I'd suggest resetting the heart rate settings by following the steps below:

  • Switch the Heart Rate settings from On to Off and manually sync your watch. To switch the heart rate settings on your Luxe, from the main screen of your Fitbit device, open the Settings app > Heart Rate > tap to turn the setting OFF.
  • Once it's done, manually sync your Luxe. To do so, open the Fitbit app, tap on the Account icon, tap on your Fitbit device's image and tap on "Sync Now"
  • Next, switch it from Off to On and manually sync your Luxe once again.
  • Once it's done, restart your Luxe.
  • Next, confirm that your tracker is snug on your wrist (the lights shouldn't be visible). We also recommend when you're not exercising, wear the tracker just above the wrist bone.

In addition, please take a look at this help article What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?
