Luxe is adding extra steps every time I sync

I have had my luxe for almost a week. Every day when I sync to my iPhone it adds about 13000 steps. This is very annoying as I am really trying to hit my target each day but have absolutely no clue what im actually doing. I have reset it a few times on the device and a couple with the charger. Support even had me uninstall and reinstall and set up my devise again I did all this and today was accurate 6753 then I opened my app to sync the phone and the dang thing added over 9000 more steps. HELP anyone please
