Luxe is not tracking my steps accurately

I recently got a Fitbit luxe after Amazon stopped supporting their Halo fitness band. My Fitbit step count read seems to be at least double what the Halo logged. I know I’m not taking 13,000+ steps in a day. I’ve started wearing the band on my non dominant hand, but leaving the in app setting as dominant, and it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

How can I get a more accurate read with my Fitbit? I’ve noticed it also take a long time to sync with the app. Is that typical?

Hi there, @yukler. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Luxe.

Besides checking the wrist settings, please confirm the following is correct in the Fitbit app:

Since we use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average. For more information, please see How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?
