I am new to fitbit. But several times in the past 6 weeks, my steps re-set or re-start in the middle or late in the day. Some days in the afternoon after walking 4500 steps in the morning, the fitbit resets to 127 or 2700 or some other number lower than the 4500. What am I doing wrong? And what do I need to know? And how can this be corrected?

Hi there, @JoWillie. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Luxe. I understand where your concern is coming from.
As a first approach, I'd recommend making sure that your Fitbit Luxe is syncing properly. If your Fitbit device is not syncing and not keeping the correct time that would may be the reason why your Luxe is resetting a random times of the day, due to a wrong time (as Fitbit devices reset themselves at midnight). To make sure your watch has recently synced, go to your Fitbit account, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image.
If by any chance you are running into syncing issues, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync? or if you need to relink your Fitbit Luxe, see How do I set up my Fitbit device?
Also, please make sure that your Fitbit device is already running the latest firmware update. For more information, see How do I update my Fitbit device?
