Hi @RNMV New users are often confused by this, but it is pretty simple to understand once you have all the facts. There are two ways we burn calories. The one we all think of is through exercise, but the other one actually burns much more, just by being alive. The body burns quite a lot of calories each day just keeping normal bodily functions going. Fitbits estimate the number of these calories you burn as the day progresses and they are added to your calorie total. For example today I have so far burned 1419 calories. Only 346 were active calories though I went on a bike ride and a walk as well. The remaining 1073 were my resting calories. I won't burn many more active calories today but the resting number will continue to go up until 12am (assuming I don't suddenly die 🤣)

Hi there, @RNMV. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post and the image attached. We'll be glad to clarify your doubt!
As @NellyG has mentioned, the value that you see on your Luxe when after setting it up is your estimated calorie burn for the day so far.
We estimate your calorie burn based on your age, gender, height and weight. You burning calories even when you are sleeping or just sedentary. When you are not wearing your Fitbit then it is estimate your passive calories burned. That is what you see on the Fitbit app after the set up.
It then populates your profile with this calorie burn back for six months or so to give you a sensible baseline against which to compare your future calorie burn once your watch starts tracking your exercise and adding exercise calories to your BMR calories. What you're seeing is an expected behavior and the calorie counts re individualized to you.
