Luxe is tracking too many steps

My luxe is double counting my steps. I want to say it started doing this with the new app update.

I’m not using any other apps to track steps.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi there, @May-Russell. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that your Luxe is tracking extra steps. I understand where your concern is coming from. I'll do my best to help you to figure out what the issue might be.

I was wondering if you have another app connected to your Fitbit account that might be adding more steps? Mobiletrack maybe? If you have MobileTrack connected to your Fitbit app, it could be tracking those extra steps. To verify this, please in the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > then tap Devices. In this section you'll see your Luxe and below your phone (in case MobileTrack is indeed connected).

If the above describes your situation, you can remove MobileTrack by tapping on the phone's icon and then select "Remove From Account".

Nevertheless, to make sure that your Luxe is accurately tracking your steps, confirm the following are correct in the Fitbit app:

Since we use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average. For more information, see How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?

No, not using any other apps to track my steps.   It doesn’t double count steps every day, it’s rather hit or miss. And I’ve confirmed that wrist settings, height etc are correct.

if you have any other suggestions I’m all ears.
