After about 6 months, I find the heart rate when I’m exercising is rarely accurate and the face isn’t responsive to tap touch. Not impressed.

Hi there, @AEJ321. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and sharing the details about the issue with your Luxe.
Please restart your Luxe as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
If the heart rate is still inaccurate after the restart, please see What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

I have same problem that the Luxe 'goes to sleep' and then won't wake up. There are no lights flashing on the back and it becomes unresponsive.
Once I put it on charge it shows that the battery has enough charge in it and then starts to work again.
This is obviously a problem Fitbit don't want to fix. I tried the helpdesk and was told it was the battery but that cant be the case as it display over 20% battery power. Not happy!
