Luxe isn't tracking my sleep data

The first five days was fine, today there's just nothing there, but my steps and other bits are all syncing and tracked?

Hi there, @esmivram. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and sharing the details about the issue with your Luxe.

keep in mind that sleep stages are based on heart rate data. So, if you just got the Fitbit Luxe, give the heart rate a few days to settle down. It does some calculations, looking at heart rate throughout the day and while you are sleeping, so it might just not have enough data to give a reasonable value yet.

For more information, see the following help articles

Hope this helps.

Hi Maria. I do see what you mean, but it's effectively tracked my sleep for six nights running, just not last night. I guess I'll check back in with support if this continues? Thanks for getting back to me and for your help.

@esmivram You're welcome! Thanks for the details you provided.

Since sleep data is based on your heart rate readings, I'd suggest resetting the heart rate settings and test your Luxe the next couple of nights to see if it provides again with your sleep data. To do so, follow the steps below:

  • Switch the Heart Rate settings from On to Off and manually sync your watch. To switch the heart rate settings on your watch, from the main screen of your watch, swipe left until you see "Settings", next swipe up until you see "Heart Rate" and switch it to Off.
  • Once it's done, manually sync your Luxe. To do so, open the Fitbit app, tap on the Account icon, tap on your Luxe's image and tap on "Sync Now"
  • Next, switch it from Off to On and manually sync your watch once again.
  • Once it's done, restart your watch once again.
  • Next, confirm that your tracker is snug on your wrist (the lights shouldn't be visible) We also recommend when you're not exercising, wear the tracker just above the wrist bone.

Also, for more detailed information, see What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

Thanks Marie. I'll give all that a go, although my heart rate has been tracking fine throughout the day (noticing exercise sessions and going up and down with what I'm doing), so it seems odd that it would just be the sleep that it missed. I've followed all these steps so hopefully it'll all be picked up fine tonight. Thanks again.

Did you get your sleep tracker to work? Just had my luxe for a week, gave me a sleep score first 3 nights, now not recording and only giving a basic sleep graph. I have contacted support twice and tried what they have said but it’s still not recording the data it should be

Hiya… mine did reset after following the instructions. It’s been recording my sleep okay since. I’m not sure what gave it a funny five minutes, I’m wondering it’s not great at recording sleep when the battery is quite low?
