Luxe no longer holding battery charge?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve noticed some posts regarding the Fitbit Charge no longer holding a charge, but has anyone else experienced something similar for the Luxe? In the last couple of weeks I’ve noticed mine going from being able to go almost a week on a single charge to holding one for less than a day. It’s extremely disappointing, as the long battery life is one of the reasons I went with this model. I just wanted to see if this issue was one that might be in some way related to the issues others have experienced with the Charge.

Came here to investigate this myself. Have noticed my Luxe losing charge over recent weeks and this morning it notified me of low battery, but was fully charged less than an hour later, which is also unusual. Mine is nearly 2 years old but didn't want to have to change it again.

I’ve also noticed this in the last few weeks. Mine is less than a year old. I charged it yesterday and now it’s not responding. I will have to connect it to the charger when I get home to see if it will reset it.

I am having the same problem, my watch is showing as low battery (24hrs after it showed 100% after charging). I put it on the charger and within minutes it shows 70%, taking the watch off the charger and resetting it I plug it back in at it shows 40% straight away. I took it off again whilst I synced it, when I plugged it back in it went up to 55%!

I don't understand what has happened, I haven't had an update?

Same problem here - it seems to need to be charged way more frequently and charging it is also weird... Is this already garbage after only 2 years?

I’m having the exact same problem with my Luxe battery. In addition, I can’t sync it now either. I’ve tried all of the regular troubleshooting but it still doesn’t work. I’m planning on contacting a Fitbit representative this week. Very disappointing as it isn’t old. I’ve been a Fitbit wearer since the Zip!

Mine is doing the same thing. But I have noticed that the time display is blue now where it used to be white. I tap it twice and it turns white for a few seconds then goes back to blue. I can't find any info on how to get the colored one off. I have been thinking the color display drains the battery faster

I too am having the same problem of not holding its charge, then when connected suddenly from an 8% charge, it’s registering as 70%. My Luxe is barely 2 years old…

Getting the same problem with my Luxe is there a fix available ? Really frustrating now grrrrr!!!

This is happening to mine as well. It's driving me mad 😡

Mine is also barely 2 yrs old. Screen has become unresponsive and battery is draining within 4-5 hrs. It still syncs with Fitbit app on phone.
Restart is not helping. I hate that within 2 yrs, it is gone. Weirdly, all the people who responded to this thread bought Fitbit around 2 yrs back only. Is this some deliberate Fitbit strategy. This is totally unacceptable.

Update - my phone was showing 26% as I went to bed last night, but was completely unresponsive this morning. When I plugged it in, it immediately showed 26% charge again, so I've just contacted Fitbit support. They got me to restart it - which then showed and increase from 40% straight to 98%. Suggested a load of things to help with battery life (screen wake/alarm usage etc) which are all being used far less in the last month because I'm a teacher on holiday!!! I suspect the issue will prevail, but I've at least been given a case reference number to go back with if that's the case. They had no response to my query about why this would suddenly be happening. Frustrating, but if they will replace the Luxe, it will be my last Fitbit. I've never had one last more than 2 yrs.

Same problem and mine is just 2 years old also.

Having this exact problem. Was at 70% a few hours ago, sitting idly, no notifications coming through, suddenly at 20%. Hook it up to its charger, reset it, 90%. Sometimes when I put it on the charger it'll show something else (but still higher) without a reset. I could usually charge every couple of days on my 45min commute into work.

Now I can't trust anything my phone or it reads, and I'm not even getting low battery notifications when it just decides to randomly drop so significantly.

Hey all,

So I was having the same problem with my Fitbit luxe, and now it doesn’t charge at all! Just wandering if anyone has found a solution to this problem? If so could please get in touch with answers! It’s also six months old so thought this very peculiar. Thanks!

In add to my previous update, I contacted them again last night because my Luxe had gone from 100% to 35% in 48 hours. I wasn't prepared to reset again. I'd turned auto screen wake off, used no alarms etc.

They are sending me a replacement.

Has anyone been able to get this rectified.. I’m losing charge quickly and not able to use my Fitbit like it was meant to be used 🙁

Mine is less then 2 years, not even 1.5 and I have this problem AND my sleep is registered in the easy mode. I didn't change anything 😳😳😳

I have had my fitbit Luxe less than three months and it is not holding a charge more than 36 hours.  Called Customer Support and this is a problem with the Luxe.  They are sending me a replacement.  Very disappointing.  Although it's cheaper than Apple Watch, however, more problems.  This is my second Fitbit and now they're sending a third. .. probably should have bought the Apple -- problem is it's too big.
