Luxe on your ankle or as a necklace

Greetings. I am new to Fitbit. I am wondering two things. First, if I buy a necklace for my luxe, will it effectively measure steps and heart rate? Second, I would sometimes like to wear it on my ankle instead of my wrist. Has anyone found an ankle device that holds it securely? I have seen reviews where lots of people have lost their Fitbit this way. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much

On a necklace, it would probably measure steps fairly well, but not heart rate.  For heart rate, it has to be next to the skin.  For the ankle, some have worn with a third-party band extender available on Amazon, but still safer to wear underneath socks.  Some say they can get heart rate with ankle wear but that is iffy.  I have tried ankle wear on rowing machine but never out and about.  Others might have better advice there.

If you are not necessarily sold on Luxe, you might consider Inspire 2.  It can be bought with optional clip for wearing on waist, and has a setting for switching between wrist and clip mode.

Hi There:

Thanks so much for responding. I appreciate your response and have learned from it. I just bought the Luxe, so I will stick with it for a while. 🙂

I didn't realize you had already bought the Luxe.  Another way to get steps recorded without wearing on wrist is to just put it in a pocket.
