I just got back from a 4 mile closed circuit walk. It is a walk I do regularly. My Fitbit has recorded this walk very accurately a number of times. This time it got the distance and duration right, but the path was way off. It started out correctly, but showed and out and back to an area I didn't go. Because the Strava app is linked to the Fitbit it showed the same erroneous walk. On the other hand, UA Map My Walk got it right so the phone GPS was OK.
I'm just curious if this has happened to anyone else and if anyone knows what would of caused it.
