Has anyone had this problem? I thought maybe when I synced it it would correct but it synced 67 million steps and I got a bunch of badges. Will this correct itself or do I need to return it?

Hi @thebalconyfool,
Not sure how much this will help, but if you contact Support via the link at the bottom of the page, they can help you remove the steps and the badges.

Thank you for the reply, I’ll definitely do that. I’m just worried this isn’t a one time glitch and that my Fitbit is defective and may continue to do this in the future.

@thebalconyfool There is a way to delete data in the Fitbit app. Tap on your profile picture > Account Settings > Delete Data > Steps. Follow the prompts. I'm not sure if it will delete the badges. I never had this problem.

Thank you for that info, LZeeW. I guess the issue is I would like to delete the majority of steps from that day, but not down to 0 as it effects my goal streak. I wish there was a way to input the steps I had for the day without deleting them down to 0, but it doesn't seem possible.

One thing I'm noticing is these 67 million steps were not recorded as an activity. The walk I took that day records my normal steps but nowhere are the 67 million steps recorded as an activity. So I'm not even sure if deleting the days activities will delete the false steps.
