Hi,
Have owned various Fitbit models since 2015, all of which have shown consistent ( and expected ) stats for steps/ heart rate / calorie burn etc throughout this period ……actual exercise/ weight / calorie consumption not changed - resting heart rate constant at 57 bpm - only thing that has changed is my age !
However, I suspected stats for calorie burn & heart rate are very inaccurate on my new Luxe model which I’ve worn for aprox 6 months (resting hr still 57 & steps appear accurate ) - I’ve tested this out a few times on a Sunday, when I don’t exercise & generally have a pretty lazy day - in ordinary mode I burn 1300 - 1500 kcals ( which seems a little low given that I do potter round rather than sitting around all day ), but if exercise mode eg Circuit training selected for daytime hours, calorie burn is usually over 3000, which is way too much !…..I’ve also noticed that my hr peaks a few times at around 170, which doesn’t always happen when I am actually doing a circuit class !!
I’m 5 ft 4”, 115 lbs and have been all my adult life - I’m 68.
If anyone could throw some light on this disparity, I would be very grateful- Thank you
