Luxe screen is unresponsive during my exercises

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've noticed that the screen becomes unresponsive for somewhere between 10 and 30 seconds at the following times during a tracked workout (possibly more):

  • When it signals that a lap has been completed
  • When it signals that I am in Fat Burn or Cardio

I can't tap or swipe the screen to dismiss these notifications. Waiting for the screen to turn off and on doesn't work either. I need to wait for 10 to 30 seconds for the notification to be dismissed. This is a nuisance as it doesn't let me check other stats on the device.

Has anyone else encountered this? Any solutions other than turning off Lap tracking and Zone notifications?

Thanks!

Kevin

Hi there, @kschach. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Luxe.

While reading your post I was wondering if this is happening all the time or you've noticed this to happen only when you exercise? I was having a similar trouble with my touch screen, thing was my fingers were too sweaty when I was trying to check my progress during my workout so I just started making sure to dry my finger before touching the screen and problem solved. Would you mind trying this in case you notice your fingers are too sweaty when touching your Luxe's screen?

However, if this is happening all the time (meaning you've noticed the screen is also unresponsive when you're not exercising), I'd recommend restarting your Luxe by following these steps How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately it's not related to sweat. It does only
occur during tracked workouts, I believe, and what seems to happen is that
I can't dismiss the notifications that come up (whether it's the Lap
notification or the Zone notification) even when my hands are dry. I'll try
to time to see how long they appear for.
