I've had my Fitbit Luxe for over a year and it always indicates I've been awake for about an hour overnight. Is that typical? When people say they sleep for eight hours a night, are they actually only sleeping for seven of those hours?

Hi there, @LisaC1967. Welcome to the Community Forums.
I totally agree with @Heather-S and @SusanCleary. Note that your time asleep is calculated by subtracting your time spent awake and restless from your overall tracked sleep time. For example, if you slept 8 hours but woke up 2 times for 15 minutes each, your time asleep would be 7 hr 30 min.
To learn more about your time asleep in sleep stages, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?
Edit or delete sleep logs in the Fitbit app. For instructions, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?
Hope this helps.

@LisaC1967 Everyone is different. It depends on if I spend time in bed reading or scrolling on my phone, depends on if I'm tossing and turning. I'd say I average about 45 minutes of awake time. But it can be more than an hour if I'm not sleeping very well.

This is common for me. I’m usually about 1.25 hours awake at night. Tossing, turning and getting up for the bathroom. Also if I lay down and then watch TV for an hour before falling asleep it will pick up that movement (changing channel, volume, etc) as well.
