Luxe stopped tracking my sleep data accurately

Ever since you switched to the new format, my Luxe no longer tracks my sleep correctly. I never had this problem till the switch over. It tracks a few hours and then stops. If I wake up during the night and go back to sleep it doesn't track the 2nd round of sleep.

Also, I hate the new design. It used to be so easy to pick up my stats on steps, sleep and resting heart rate and now I have to scroll thru the page to find it. I hate it.

I've started wearing my Apple Watch to bed instead. I've had a Fitbit for years now and loved it for the simplicity of use and the small design but I can't deal with this. I have a heart condition and need to have accurate info and I no longer trust Fitbit to do that.

Mine is doing exactly the same. Some times it works but it regularly stops recording at around 4.30am even if I didn’t wake up then.
I’m not at all impressed with the upgrade.

My Luxe has all of a sudden stopped tracking my sleep all together.

Best Answer

Yep, this is the 3rd or 4th time mine has quit tracking sleep.  Fitbit is becoming expensive garbage! Seriously, tired of this. Guess it is time to go with the Google Watch or basically any other fitness watch since Fitbit can't get their act together! Would be different if this was the first time.  But it is basically every time there is an update. I should not have to waste my time deleting and setting this stupid thing up every time Fitbit decides they want to "improve" something. (Translation, screw it up so people will spend money buying a new one) This is my 3rd Fitbit.  Loved the first one, it just finally died.  2nd one I started having problems with, figured it was just a bad fitbit. After a  year of it, I got this one.  In the 10 months I have had it, it has quit tracking sleep 3 or 4 times.  I lost count.

I have had Fitbit for Years as well!  Loved it. But now they are worthless.  It quits tracking sleep, you go through all the steps to reset it and it works for a week or so and quits again.  So worth the trouble. And certainly not going to pay the money to get a new one every year because it no longer works like it is supposed to.  Shopping new Fitness watches now.

Same problem here…Luxe no longer tracks sleep consistently, some days it works and other days there is no data.  I wear it the same way every night.

Best Answer

Same here. There is a 2-hr gap in last night's sleep, from 3-5 AM. I changed nothing, wearing watch same as always. Ugh.

Best Answer

Mine does the same - if I get up in the night, it decides that is it and tracks nothing else.  The results are, of course, worthless . . .

I turned my phone off and then my Luxe. Turned them back on and it works fine now.

I found that if I manually deleted the two segments and then synched, the night data was recovered.

Best Answer

Deleted what two segments? By the way, I don’t think you have to have Premium to get sleep score.

Best Answer

I manually deleted, from my Mac computer dashboard, the 0:30 to 3 AM segment and the 5 to 7:30AM segments, so I had no data at all on the dashboard. Then I synced, and the watch combined these two partial reads into 0:30 to 7:30, to give me a score.

No I don't have Premium, being a sleep Giraffe wasn't helpful information to me. A lot of this stuff is a bit precious.

Mine just did the same thing this morning! Stopped at 3:30 a.m.

Same here, sleep hasn’t been tracking correctly since the update and now the health metrics isn’t tracking.  Never had this issue before, super frustrating.  Just updated my iPhone and Luxe, didn’t help at all.  Why update the look of the app to make it harder to read (and apparently not work)?!

Best Answer

I bought an Inspire 3 (last year's model) and get delayed sleep information, but I do finally get it all. It's just poorly written software, I think. Google has purchased the line and that may make things better or worse.

I so agree with you. My Luxe stopped working if I didn't sync daily. Besides my battery only lasts over night or all day & a little night. Hopeless satisfaction with Customer Csre. I believe they have something on a programme so we will purchase a new one.  I will never have Fitbit again.  I would like if they had it returned to how happy I was when it worked without sync etc.  I bought the LUXE as I have disability & wanted to see the time in bed.

I don't love wearing a watch 23 hours a day, but it still is a good solution for me.  hope you find a good solution for your needs, too.

Try turning off/swiping off/closing the app from your phone at bedtime.
There are other posts elsewhere about gaps in sleep data as well as heart rate data.
I took one more chance on Fitbit and got my Versa 4 in September after years of different Fitbit devices dying on me. I had nights of complete data and then, probably about the time the new app rolled out, started getting hours of sleep and heart rate gaps, always after midnight, starting maybe at 3 or 4 am. Of course every score that uses these data was inaccurate.  I read the forum comments, contacted Fitbit, did all the restarts, resets, reloads…I’d get the occasional full night but usually not. The odd thing, though, was that on the Versa 4 device, I have a graph of the last 2 hours of heart rate data and it showed data over the periods for which the app showed nothing. That suggested to me some communication issue between the device and the app. So I tried closing the app at bedtime. When I opened the app and synced in the morning, the app showed a full night of sleep and heart rate data! I’ve done this every night for a few weeks now and it has worked. It’s ridiculous to me that Fitbit doesn’t seem to have this figured out.
Good luck.

Interesting. Unsure how to turn app off on Android. Will signing out work?

Also, if I don't get up right when I open my eyes, or if I am pretty still when reading before falling asleep, inspire 3 counts both as actual sleep. Makes sleep reporting much less useful, and report is delayed several minutes after I am out of bed. Just seems sloppy. The actual range of delayed minutes was just rejected as not permitted in this community.  Huh??
