I charged my Luxe this morning as I always do, and it did charge from 53% to 99% but for the first time ever the display didn’t switch to the battery level display while on the charger. It took me a while and many tries to confirm that it was properly connected and my USB PSU was working, eventually I saw that the charge level was increasing on the slide-up status page. Did I accidentally change a setting that disabled the charging screen?

Hi there, @Songmaster. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and sharing the details about the inconvenience with your Luxe.
Regarding your question, we are not sure what might have caused this, but we would expect this to be a one glitch and I would ask you to keep an eye on your watch, and in the case this happens again, please let me know and I will be glad to further investigate.
Nevertheless, I'd suggest restarting your Luxe. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Hope that helps.

Hi @Songmaster I charged my Luxe last night. When I first put it on, the battery strength shows and then I restart it, it turns black and charges up. I don't see the strength displayed during the charging process. If I want to know how it's going, I just check the app on my phone. Honestly don't recall ever seeing the screen stay lit while charging. Now I'm curious!
