Luxe won't stay connected to my iOS device

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit luxe will not stay synced to my iPhone. I have tried removing it and re-adding it as a device, deleting and redownloading the app, and turning Bluetooth on and off. I am lucky if I can get it to sync once a day, but it even still it never stays synced for more than 5 minutes so I never get any notifications on my watch. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem here. I am having to reconnect 1-2 times every day at least.

Same problem here. Bought Luxe at weekend to replace old Alta HR but having to constantly reset Luxe to connect to iPhone 6S. Using latest Fitbit App 3.46 and IOS 14.8. Have tried all methods described but still no joy.

Please sort it out ASAP or I’ll have to take it back.

I think the issue is that your iPhone is extremely old and Bluetooth has been upgraded a lot since it came out. You may have a compatibility issue.

The problem is that Fitbit has been selling defective devices. Fitbit was aware of these connection issues, that they allegedly “fixed” in an update that didn’t actually fix anything. I have had my luxe since it first came out, and it WILL NOT STAY BLUETOOTH CONNECTED. I checked my app today to find that the luxe hasn’t synced to my phone in two weeks. I’ve spent over a half hour this morning trying to get it to sync with no luck. I’ve had a Fitbit for years, and will most likely never purchase another one after this abysmal experience.

Update: Just in case anyone was wondering - it apparently takes 45 minutes, turning Bluetooth on/off multiple times, restarting phone multiple times, restarting luxe multiple times, AND an act of Congress to get the Fitbit luxe to sync.

Can we get a response to the forum for a solution since it is affecting many users?

Spot on. I’ve done everything chat told me to do, but it only fixed it for a couple of days and now those steps aren’t working. I’m so upset that I basically threw money away. This is a near useless product and I will not be buying from Fitbit again- after 8 years of consistent upgrades.

I think replacing the fit bit will be the cheaper option as the 6s works perfectly well with other devices.

OMG Im on my second one.  The Luxe is the biggest **ahem**.

Bought the luxe 30 days ago.  The first one's bluetooth worked great, but when i disconnected the strap, it wouldn't reconnect and stay connected. So I returned it and got a second Luxe.

The secons Luxe:  The band works great, but the bluetooth didnt stay connected.  Everyday I have to reboot it, in order to connect to bluetooth to synch it.  Until today, they put out an update, now that reboot hack doesn't work anymore.  So I removed my device from the app, and have been trying to re-add it to my iPhone for the last 2 hours and I'm it's infuriating.   So i'm exchanging it for a third one.

I'm just a sucker.  The fact that the bluetooth worked so well on the first one, has me suckered into thinking that I should roll the dice on a 3rd replacement again, and maybe I will get a band and bluetooth that works at the same time.

Shame on you Fitbit

UPDATE:  So I got my 3rd Luxe replacement today,  first thing I noticed was the box was slightly different.  (Dark grey/mauve with “includes 6 month premium trial” on the bottom)

First I wrapped the old one in aluminum foil and put it in the trunk of my car (did not want any confusion with the new one)

The new one came with 55% charge, but I plugged it in, and it synched THE FIRST TIME.  No crazy shenanigans.   5 hours later I opened up the Fitbit app on my iPhone and it SYNCHED ON ITS OWN!

the strap works great.

so it took 3 replacements but I finally got one that works!

MY TAKE:  if you have synch issues, it’s hardware related.  It will never work correctly.  Keep getting replacements ASAP until you get one that works.

good luck!

Dealt with that on my Charge 5. Preordered one from Fitbit and had massive syncing and Bluetooth disconnections. Did all of their suggested fixes without them working. Sent the Charge 5 back and got a refund. Then bought a new Charge 5 from Best Buy. Worked from the start. No Bluetooth or syncing issues. Love it now that I’ve got one that’s not defective from the get-go!
