Today I walked with a friend around a reserve. My luxe only tracked around once but we walked it twice. Her device says she walked 8.2 miles while my luxe said I only walked 3.3 miles?! That's not even half the distance it should be. Very frustrating that no one gets help with these issues I see across this forum.

Hi there, @Chsieg. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for sharing the details about the inconvenience with your Luxe. We‘re taking into consideration your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services.
Adding to the great information shared by @Gr4ndp4, I would like to clarify that it's normal that you see a difference when you are comparing your data with another person, this is because Fitbit trackers record your data based on your personal information (age, gender, weight and height). To update your stride length, track a run with GPS or measure your stride length manually. For more information, see Can I change my stride length in my Fitbit account?
When you track an activity with GPS, your device calculates your distance using GPS data rather than steps. If you begin moving before you get a GPS signal, your device calculates distance using your steps until GPS connects. For more information, see How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?
Hope this helps.

Hi, @Chsieg, welcome, you do not mention if you started your walk record manually or by using the "auto-recognize" feature in your device. You may find this article How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity? useful, it has a section on the data that interests you. You will know that the Luxe uses your mobile phone GPS, while most phones work well with Fitbit devices this article Fitbit-compatible devices explains issues that exist with a few phones. This third-party article How to make your fitness tracker count steps more accurately - The Verge explains some other issues and what you can do to improve performance. Let us know how you get on by posting here again.
Cheers
