My Luxe is not tracking distance or route when biking?

Hi there, @Fitness1957. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with your miles when biking. 

To start, I'd like to confirm if the GPS is indeed enable when you go for a ride on bike? For more information, see How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?

On a side note, bear in mind that when you're tracking activities using SmartTrack distance won't be tracked. Please confirm that you're using the exercise app to capture real-time stats, including heart-rate data, calories burned, and elapsed time, for specific workouts.
