My Fitbit Luxe is not tracking correctly. It has had problems for a long time not resetting steps at midnight. Today, the steps were correct when I first got up. By 9:15 this morning it said that I had walked over 3000 steps, most done between 1:00am & 3:00am. It said I didn't get to sleep until 3:30. I was in bed before midnight.

Hi there, @bfloyd63. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Luxe is not tracking your steps accurately. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
Do you have MobileTrack also linked to your Fitbit account? If you do, please note that MobileTrack could be tracking those extra steps. To verify this, please in the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > then tap Devices. In this section you'll see your Luxe and below your phone (in case MobileTrack is indeed connected).
If the above describes your situation, you can remove MobileTrack by tapping on the phone's icon and then select "Remove From Account".
Nevertheless, to make sure that your Luxe is accurately tracking your steps, confirm the following are correct in the Fitbit app:
Since we use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average. For more information, see How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?
If you want to negate the extra steps, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?
Regarding the steps not being reset at midnight, I'd like to confirm if you wake up and see some steps already tracked on your Luxe or the steps you see are exactly the same amount you saw before going to sleep? If your Luxe shows up the same amount of steps as the night before, please try restarting your device by following these steps. However, if you see some steps, it think MobileTrack would also be the reason of this.

I have never had Mobile Track. I know which wrist I wear my Fitbit on and my height has never changed. It doesn't happen every day but the problem is that the steps don't always reset at midnight. Resetting my Fitbit does nothing. When I chatted with support they said "we are aware of the issue and that a fix will be released within the next few weeks". Why didn't you mention this?

his morning I woke up to 5802 steps!! When I checked the detail of those steps, it showed 101 steps, which sounds about right. Yesterday's total was 5955. This makes no sense. In addition, my sleep for last night is only 2 hrs 48 minutes which is way too low. On days where the step count is accurate, the sleep time is also accurate.
