I bought Fitbit Luxe two weeks ago. Unfortunately, one side was defective and would not lock the band in place. I contacted Fitbit, but no help. I wanted to keep the Fitbit on because I was in a walking contest to win $1000. So, I put a band around the Fitbit to keep it attached but apparently it came off is now lost. So I’m out the for the Fitbit and the contest. Fitbit has defective products.

I lost my Fitbit luxe - I had the official mesh band on it and it came off somewhere in my house and I can't find it anywhere....I have turned this place upside down. 😞

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @sbcgal. I´m sorry to hear you lost your Fitbit Luxe.
Try the following tips to find your Fitbit device:
Check the Fitbit app to see the last time your device synced. If it synced recently, it's likely within range of your phone.
Take your phone to the area where you think you lost your device and try to sync. If your device syncs, it's nearby.
Try using a Bluetooth locator app to help you find your device. For iPhone, try LightBlue Explorer. For Android, try Bluetooth Finder.
