I’ve run every day for the last week for at least 15 minutes on flat terrain with GPS tracking, and still my Cardio Fitness score shows a range. What gives? Is there official guidance about how I can improve the accuracy of my estimate? Is it after 2 runs or 20?

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Luxe. Thank you for the information provided.
If you don't see the map of your runs, this issue might be related to GPS. In this case, please visit this article, open the menu "How do I get my Fitbit device to connect to GPS?" and follow the instructions.
In addition, you can restart your Tracker and follow the steps in this article in the menu "Why don’t I have a cardio fitness score or level?".

After more runs, I think I detected the pattern. The algorithm or formula that calculates the Cardio Fitness score is weighted much more heavily to RHR than exercise performance. So much so that when the two inputs are pointing in opposite directions, it favors the input coming from RHR. When my RHR, which is already low, goes down, this causes my Cardio Fitness range to improve. This is even though my calculated VO2Max is average at best (when I calculate it manually).
