My Luxe won't vibrate when I receive notifications

Why doesn't my fitbit luxe buzz when getting a text message or phone call?  All notifications are turned on

Hi there, @sharon819. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Luxe. 

 

As a first approach, please make sure that your Luxe is not in DND or Sleep Mode. When the do not disturb setting is on:

 

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
  • The do not disturb icon illuminates in quick settings.

 

When sleep mode is on:

 

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist. To wake Luxe, firmly tap the screen twice.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in quick settings.

Sleep mode turns off automatically when you set a sleep schedule. For more information, see Adjust settings. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?

I have noticed that I do not receive the notifications because the Bluetooth connection to my phone has randomly dropped.  It’s probably a connectivity issue which I should have taken heed to when reading comments before I bought it.

I’m having the same problem too. I really rely on the notifications! I’ve tried to restart my Luxe, update the Fitbit app, remove and re-add the device and nothing works. I was receiving notifications fine until last week.

If swipe up on the device you'll see a moon.. It should have a slash through it.. Customer service helped me with it.. I never knew that..

I am on my third Luxe due to every one having this issue. Rather than try to fix it Fitbit keeps sending me replacements. This most recent Luxe has lasted about six months but is just starting to have this same issue. I don't connect mine to texts and calls, but suddenly it stopped vibrating for my hourly step notifications, so I am constantly missing them. It's so aggravating, I never had this issue with my last Fitbit (Charge 2).

Hi, I had the same issue w/ Flip3 and Luxe for 10 days.😊

I am on my third as well and all have worked for a few weeks then the same happens.  Looks like Fitbit hasn’t done anything to address the issue so at this point I am just going to switch to another brand that works properly.  So disappointing since my old Alta HR worked perfectly for five years.
