I just got an update on my Luxe overnight with a new dashboard. The dashboard is fine but I can't find anywhere on it showing the battery charge percentage remaining. Am I just missing this somewhere or did Fitbit omit this vital information?

Hi there @saulster, it is nice to see you again.
Thanks for letting us know your concerns about the new app look.
Let me tell you that you still have the option to see the battery status of your device by doing this:
1. With the new look, you can find the device button from any of the tabs in the Fitbit app
2. The following screen will appear when you click the device button. You may get all of the information about your devices and their status here.

This doesn’t show a % charge; I only see “Battery Full”. But when I connect my Luxe to the charging cable, I can see (right now) that my Luxe battery at 92% charge - but I want to see that info on my Fitbit app screen after every synch so I know if I have enough charge to get through the day … a feature that disappeared in this new app version. NOT AN IMPROVEMENT!

As previously noted by ksbchuzee, this DOES NOT SHOW A PERCENTAGE, only "Battery Full" or some such estimation. On my charger this morning, my Luxe was at 80% but this showed "Battery Full", which it was not.
I tried calling in for a representative just now for assistance. He stated that this new system was what was available. I could put in a request for an improvement ( back to what we already had in the first place ) and perhaps in some months something might be done. Or not, I put in a year ago about the time taking most of the screen and the actual data ( heart rate, steps, etc. ) being very small to read and heard nothing back since.
The representative could not get me a supervisor to talk to, they were all otherwise already engaged. I could leave a message for a supervisor but they can not call me back, they can only e-mail. If they ever get around to it. The representative said 15 to 30 minutes, I have my doubts.
All of this was accomplished understanding only one word of every two or three spoken. I don't mind outsourced / overseas support if the people have reasonable language skills but it was pretty difficult to understand much without multiple tries for each concept or thought. Very annoying.
I have been a loyal Fitbit customer for years and generally like the devices. But the poor software update, taking away a useful current feature, and the poor customer service are becoming deal breakers.

@saulster @ksbchuzee Please vote for and leave a comment on this request in the Product Feedback forum. IMO, comments mean more than just votes. I voted and left a comment. I'm not happy with Fitbit's decision on this.
BTW, you can see your battery percentage on the Luxe when you swipe up to your Today stats and you don't need to put it on its charger. But the font is tiny.

Great information thank you. The Fitbit company reps don't know this ornament getting this from their tech. support. Their fail!
And, of course, you are right about the tiny font. One needs "readers" or a magnifying glass. I "view" this as another inconsiderate and stupid design fail.
Thanks again for your help.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all your interactions and comments. @LZeeW Thank you very much for the explanations.
I wanted to let you know how much we appreciate all of your comments on the new app design. Even though we want you to continue engaging with us and leaving us comments, this is not the appropriate forum for doing so. Given that we've created a particular area where our users may submit ideas and suggestions.
I'd like to extend an invitation to you to post any ideas you might have on how to improve the existing changes on our Product Feedback board.

This whole dashboard update is trash. Did Fitbit get any user feedback at all. I can’t tell you how much I hate it. Less info, less flexibility, tons of wasted screen space (is it really necessary to take up a third of the screen adding section and brick headings, yet remove the heart zone indicator??)

Estuarado,
Perhaps if anyone at Fitbit listened in the first place..........
May I further humbly suggest that the tech. guardians at Fitbit consider doing some BETA TESTING before pushing out such garbage "updates" and "improvements"? Making your retail customers your beta testers is a decidedly poor practice.
Also, YOU might consider forwarding this entire chain to the Firbit Product Feedback folks for their consideration rather than telling your upset customers to go to yet another place to reexpress their frustration with the terrible performance and lack of consideration of Fitbit.

I agree. Huge lettering, wasted space, no battery percentage. Do we have to wait until a notification that the Fitbit is almost dead with not enough time to recharge? No heart rate in real time? That’s why I have an inspire HR. I also agree that the improvements can’t be from anyone who actually uses the app. Very disappointed!

Really? We have to click through to see it? That is a ridiculous design. Battery level has always been the first thing I look at when I open the dashboard.

This still doesn't solve the issue of not being able to see how the battery is doing while charging. I used to be able to check the app to see how the charging was going, now I can't - generalities don't help while it's charging!
You can see how many people are complaining about it being removed, it's clearly a very unpopular change, and a pointless one. This needs to be reinstated, and quickly.

When I do that my app shows that it’s fully charged which I know is not possible since I charged my Fitbit 2 days ago. Yet my Fitbit says 78%. So is it fully charged until it’s dead?

The app is saying that my Luxe is fully charged. However, I just checked it on the charger and it’s only charged so far to 77%!
Bring back the battery percentage to the app PLEASE 🙏

Not knowing when I need to think k about charging the Fitbit is vitally important. To have to go into a second menu to find the battery level is fine but it only says, “Low, Medium, High” that would work for people for their phone level, not sure who the genius was who came up for that for the Fitbit level…or more importantly, who agreed and approved that, but they should all be doing something else.

Yup. Mine says "Battery Medium." It's at 42%.

The battery life doesn’t last nearly as long as it did prio to the “enhancement”
