New Dashboard Doesn't Show Battery Charge

I just got an update on my Luxe overnight with a new dashboard.  The dashboard is fine but I can't find anywhere on it showing the battery charge percentage remaining.  Am I just missing this somewhere or did Fitbit omit this vital information?

Absolutely!  You stated this perfectly.

It's very important to know % of battery charging. It helps to know if it's charging or not and how far to go

Best Answer

All you see is full or low, I preferred to see the percentage. Why change this for the worse.

I agree with all your comments

My app said my Luxe was on medium charge! Guess what?!?!? 37% is not considered a medium charge.

PLEASE bring back the old battery charge percentage!!!!! Thanks 😊

Whole heartedly agree.  This thread should be sent by Fitbit moderator to feedback team.  Tried to find help for where to find the percentage in the app, and all I could find was this forum.  No way will I waste my time trying to locate a feedback forum.  Fitbit was great, but this app makes it not so great.

Also, this is exactly the appropriate place for users to discuss their concerns, as otherwise only Fitbit/Google development team will see our Fitbit and we will NEVER know if our issue is happening to anyone else.

Agree  Where is the battery percentage meter????????????

Best Answer

This is my main complaint. Especially since my Luxe battery has been draining so fast with this new update. I can see remaining percentage (with magnifiers) on the Luxe. I relied on seeing the percentage on my phone. This Luxe is only a couple months old

This just says “full” when my watch says 80% when I plug it in. Please bring % back so we don’t have our watches die.

I don’t want to have to search out the battery status of my Fitbit device!! It is surely the one most essential piece of information on the whole app and it’s NO LONGER ON THE HOME SCREEN?!

Who, how and why was this ridiculous decision made?! Also what user research was undertaken during this latest design phase? I am genuinely interested? Certainly none involving people who relied on the colours and icons? Do you know how hard this app is to use now for someone with ADHD and dyslexia. What research was done to ensure accessibility for all of your users please?

New dashboard bit clumsy and no battery %. I found battery draining after this update but seemed to be because I was forced to turn location to “always” to be able to use weather. Always location must drain battery 🤔

ive set back to ‘when using app’ knowing it means I cant use weather anymore but battery life longer. Needs to be fixed 😤

Need battery percentage reinstated on dashboard for sure. Developer needs to use app I think not just make changes and ignore feedback 😤

charger pins fail. Im on my second one and had to superglue a bogey pin to keep it working 😤

Seeing the battery life level is very important to me.  It told me every morning before my walk if the tracker needed charging.  Since the app upgrade, it has died 3 times during a walk, not capturing all the steps.  Why did they take away that feature?  I want to know the percentage of battery life, not just full or dead.   VERY DISAPPOINTING, not an upgrade.

It just says battery medium.   So it it 75% medium  or 30 % medium?  Bring back the percentage meter.

BRING BACK THE PERCENTAGE METER

But the moderator says we can’t complain about the new app here.  No one likes it so fitbits solution is to tell us not stop complaining unless I’m a special place.  Problem solved.

I will probably get in trouble but:  the new app is really really terrible.

I hate that it doesn't show the % battery is charged!   Not good!  Giant step backwards,  instead of improvement.  😞

The new app is terrible. I don't think that the Programmers at Google, have ever used a FitBit. If they had, they wouldn't have dumbed this app

down so much.

Looks like they finally brought the battery level indicator back. It’s a shame that it takes so long for “corporate” to listen to the actual customers who are using the product daily.

Yeah
Users finally got heard 👍
Should never have disappeared in first place and definitely should have been restored more quickly.
I do like its new location and fact it shows all the time now.

Unfortunately I don't see the battery level on my app. It's on android,
maybe that makes a difference and that upgrade is yet to come for me.

Still waiting,

After 10 years with a Fitbit, the battery depleting after trying everything and then removing the % pushed me over the edge. I now have an Apple Watch.

I see it added now on my iPhone App for model Sense. However, I noticed I
had to re-connect the wifi on it, and it seemed to be draining the battery
faster without the wifi re-connection. So maybe it needs to re-establish
wifi connection to show battery status too.
