Notifications are not coming through my Luxe

This is strange, my Fitbit was working fine for the first couple of weeks and now I only receive reminders and notifications very occasionally and randomly. When I uninstall the app I receive all notifications. Any ideas?

I am still having issues receiving reminders and notifications. I have not been contacted yet by support, is there anything I can do?

I'm also having issues receiving notifications on my Luxe. I reached out to the Support Chatline, but we got disconnected and now that page isn't working anymore.

I’m having exactly the same issue with my Luxe, it’s been fine for few first weeks now stopped with notifications, so annoying, when do you think this will be solved?

I’m not sure, but I finally got through to Support and it turns out mine seems to be defective, so they’re sending me a replacement. Did they run through some tests with you?

I have contacted support several times now and they have had me try multiple different things, nothing works. I will get one or two notifications and then it quits working again. Support said I would be contacted by email with a solution but I haven’t heard anything yet, that was 10 days ago. I’m happy they are sending you a replacement!

Thanks! I’m sorry they’re dragging their feet with your case. If you’re still within the return period, maybe try returning it as it seems defective? Did you purchase directly from Fitbit or through an authorized retailer?

I only just purchased my Fitbit online from the Fitbit website at the end of May so hopefully I can exchange it for another one. Because I’m in Canada I can’t request a return directly, I have to wait for support to email me 😞
I actually bought 2, one to give as a birthday gift for my daughter in September. I’m worried she will have issues as well, hopefully not!

🙁 That's so weird you can't request a return, you're just across the border! Fingers crossed, although it seems to possibly be an ongoing software issue with all Luxes, potentially other Fitbit models as well? Hopefully, this gets cleared up by September so your daughter won't have to experience the frustration!

🙁My replacement should be arriving this weekend, so I'll post an update on whether it has notification issues as well.

I just received the replacement and I still wasn’t receiving any notifications so I did more research and I finally got the notifications to work! I’m not sure what phone you have, but I have an iPhone and this is what I turned on: 

Settings > Notifications > Messages > Under “Lock Screen Appearance”, the tab for “Show Previews” needs to be set to “Always (Default)” or “When Unlocked”. Once I did that, I had people text me and I immediately started receiving notifications. Hope this works for you!

I’m happy you were able to get your notifications working! Unfortunately my phone is already on those settings. My issue is actually that I do receive a few messages after uninstalling my Fitbit, then after a short while I quit receiving them. Same thing for my Fitbit reminders to move. I don’t want to uninstall it every other day!
