Reminders to Move

I searched but didn't see this question, so here I am.

I recently upgraded my Fitbit from the Alta to the Luxe. My Alta reminded me to move every hour during a selected period of time, but I can't get the Luxe to do the same thing, despite that the Manual says it should. Can anyone tell me how to make this work? I work in an office all day and rely on those reminders to keep me from sitting for hours at a time.

Thanks for your help.

Hi @echelsea  see if anything in this article helps you. Click to read. You have to give your app and phone permission for you to receive that notification to move. Let us know how things go for you. I went from an Alta HR to the Luxe and love it!

Thanks for the reply, but it was not helpful. The link only told me to do what I had already done. What I'm looking for is how to get my Fitbit to vibrate at the 10 minutes to the hour like my Alta did.

From Android app, tap your icon upper left.

Tap on Luxe

Under General, tap Reminders to Move

Select the days and hours you wish to be reminded

Be sure the little blue selection tab is set to the right, so it's on

Sync to save

Let us know if that works for you

Thanks again for your response. I have an iPhone and I have all the settings on it correct. I will try to reset my fitbit and see if that helps.

I changed from Alta HR to Luxe and I've been having the same problem. Although the reminders used to work, they don't now. A few weeks ago, a reset of the Luxe did the trick but this this time three or four resets and no result. It's annoying because that is one of the functions I really would like to work...

That really is disheartening. My Luxe is just a few days old, but if I can't get the reminders to work, that's a dealbreaker for me. I will return it because the alternative is to use alarms to remind me and those are limited so I can't set one for every hour I want one for.

You should contact the Fitbit support. It should be a case of warranty.
It happened to my old Alta HR and they exchanged it for a new one.

Same here!! I turn it on the button to remind me to move and adjust hours and days. When I go back and go back in it’s unchecked again on its own. All are on to allow notifications and I get texts but nothing telling me to move. I uninstalled app and still won’t stay on.

I had the same problem.  I reached out to fitbit support and they help me figure out the problem.  Yes, the notification button to move needs to be on in the app but if you swipe down from the top of the screen the DND mode and Sleep mode need to be off or else they interfere with the notification to move.
