Hi there, @Lilihammer. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Which exercise are you trying to track? Please know that most Fitbit devices automatically recognize and record high-movement activities through the SmartTrack feature. To start, the default duration settings of your Fitbit Luxe is 15 minutes long. However, you can also choose which activities your device tracks automatically, or change the amount of time needed to record the activity. To do so, please follow the next steps:

  1. Tap the Today tab , then tap the Exercise tile.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top right.
  3. Tap an exercise, and adjust the duration or turn off Auto-recognize.

You can learn more about the SmartTrack feature in this link How do I track my activity with my Fitbit device?

Keep in mind that you can also use the Exercise app to start and stop a workout. For more information, see How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

I’ve tried all that and it still doesn’t work. I wanted to restart my Fitbit but on the Luxe there is no side button to push while in charge mode to restart.

@Lilihammer Thanks for following the recommendations I've provided above.

To restart your Fitbit Luxe, try the steps below:

  1. Swipe down from the clock screen to find the Settings app.
  2. Open the Settings app > Restart Device > Restart.

Hope this does the trick.

So I did my elliptical training at the gym for 30 min and it didn’t auto recognize my exercise even after restarting my device

Are they not showing up under the exercise tab at all?

I'm having a similar issue, but mine is with the Zone Minute feature. The fitbit auto-recognizes exercise for me, and will log it under my exercise tab, but it isn't logging most of it under "Zone Minutes"... they changed the heart rate zones for what counts as fat burn and cardio, and now it's so high I can only get there when I'm running. 🙄

@Lilihammer Is your heart rate getting high enough for it to detect activity?  I'm not sure why it wouldn't be auto tracking.

Have you tried tracking it with the actual watch instead of relying on auto tracking?  You can add the eliptical to the list of exercises on the Luxe by following the steps in the video in this post.

Hi there, @DeepSeaCats. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums. Please try following @Heather-S's advice and try initiating your workouts directly from the Exercise app on your Luxe instead of SmartTrack. Also, for more information about AZM, see What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.
