Swim workout shows no HR info and 3 active zone minutes

I did my first swim workout with my new luxe. It detected the correct distance swum, but did not record any HR info. The exercise shows 3 active zone minutes despite 40 mins of swimming laps, and no HR info. How can I get my swim workout to record HR and get active zone minutes?

Hi, @Jaimb, welcome to the community, this article How do I track my swims with my Fitbit device? advises "Note that heart-rate tracking is disabled during your swim workout".

I use my Luxe daily in the pool and use the auto-recognize function (just get in the water & go, nothing to do when you get out - check stats on your mobile phone when you get home) this seems to provide HR data but I'm not sure how accurate it is. I assume water between the LED/sensor and our skin degrades its ability to reliably record data.

I have the same problem. I wonder why they disable HR data during swim work out. That’s the whole reason I bought the luxe. When you use auto recognize for swim exercise, do you put on the water lock? The manual says you risk internal damage if you don’t use water lock when you swim. But I wonder if the water lock also disables the HR function.
