Two Different Distances Recorded for Same Walk on my Lux

Having an issue with my brand new FitBit Luxe. I am an avid walker and I attempted to track my walk today. I tracked it TWO WAYS at the SAME TIME. I started the exercise tracker by swiping right on the fitbit. I then also started the tracker in the FitBit App on my iphone. At the end of my walk, I was very surprised to find that the two trackers had recorded different distances, paces, etc. Both trackers were using GPS. My device is correctly synced with my phone. My iphone is up to date. I find this very perplexing why the distances in particular would be different considering it was measuring the same walk at the same time. And it was a significant difference. The device recorded my distance at 3.83 miles and the FitBit App on the iphone said 4.45 miles. Prior to having the fitbit, just a couple of days ago, I would use another fitness app to track my distance and the same route was closer to the distance recorded on the device. So I am wondering if there are any known issues with the ios Apple

FitBit App as of lately?

I have attached screenshots so that you can see on the log that there are two walks at the same time 1:13pm and that one records 3.83 miles (using exercise tracker on device) and the other records 4.45 miles on the FitBit App Tracker. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me to resolve the issue.

Hello @SunsetRunner and welcome to the Community.  This is a very interesting experience.  Your Luxe uses connected GPS.  So both of these walks were tracked using the same GPS sensors in your phone.  For clarification, when you start your GPS walk in the Fitbit app, you are using a feature called MobileRun.  One possible reason is that MobileRun and the exercise app use different sampling frequencies.  A method that samples more frequently should have less error.  You should look at both maps and compare them.  Does one have you cutting more corners or other sampling error?  If it's hard to see differences in the maps on your Fitbit app, try looking at them on your web dashboard on a larger screen.  Log in to fitbit.com, using your same email/password.

My Sense 2 has built in GPS, so I can't try this at home to see what I get.
