Hello Community!
So my luxe was exchange for a new one from Fitbit, in the meantime I got myself the Gorjana version 🙂
So now i have two Fitbit Luxe with same software etc. but the stats are very different - everything from heartbeat, sleep duration, sleep cycle differs so much, you wouldn’t think one and the same person is wearing them..
Initially I just wanted to check the new ones functionality before gifting it to somebody. Now I’m not sure if one of them is broken (because sometimes there’s are difference from 20 to 25 beats per Minute between the luxes and all the nighttime stats are very different too)
I tried shutting down and starting both again several times, made sure the software update is the same, switched of heartbeat and then switched it on again.
Has anyone experienced similar problems or can explain this to me?
Thanks,
Ada

Hi @Zwiderwurzen ! Welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.
Just to confirm, were the 2 Luxes linked to the same account or was 1 of them linked to a different account?
Did both Luxe receive a firmware update and was it installed?
If 1 Luxe has not received or installed the update, this may explain the difference.
With the new firmware, the accuracy of the measurements has been improved.
The location where the tracker is worn can also influence the measurements.

Hello,
thanks for your reply. Both do have the newest update installed - The luxes are linked to two different account, in order to compare the stats properly. I’ve worn them one the same arm for a few days, then separate one on each side.
The night time stats are very different, also the testing heartrate and heartbeat throughout the day (I’m not talking about intensive training here)
How can this be? Is the recently exchanged luxe maybe not calibrated the right way?

Hi @Zwiderwurzen ! Thank you for your message and welcome back to the Community !
There are several factors to consider when it comes to the data generated by your devices.
First, the wrist where you wear the watch can affect accuracy, I recommend reading this article Does the wrist I wear my device on affect accuracy?
In order to improve the accuracy of a heart-rate reading, the following link explains some aspects to consider How do I improve the accuracy of a heart-rate reading?
Differences between heart-rate readings on your device and on exercise equipment may also be due to wrist or hand position. Make sure the back of your device is in contact with your wrist and that your band is snug.
You might also notice variations between your heart-rate reading on new Fitbit devices compared with your old ones due to changes in the heart-rate sensor or algorithm.
I hope this helps.
