My new Luxe does not seem to record steps while I'm walking back and forth in our pool. Is this normal or can I alter my arm swing etc. to get it to count the steps. Works fine otherwise.

You may be able to alter the swing of your arm. Your arms probably are not even swinging. 

I doubt that the normal arm swing while in water will look like the user is walking. 

Also the buyancy of the body while in water will also not help.
