The new Luxe looks pretty appealing. Since I like using a Fitbit for swimming, I'm wondering, will the Luxe will display the lengths/laps completed while I am swimming? and how much detail it tracks. And once I sync it with the app after a swim, will it show details such as which strokes I did, or is it just tracking the basic info like the amount of time I swam?

The spec says only:
"Luxe is water-resistant to 50m, so you can rock it in the pool and beyond. Plus, it automatically tracks how long you’ve been swimming."
You may interpret it in many different ways. It seems to mention duration tracking only. Just wait for the first reviews. Let reviewers find out first so you don't need to spend money on something that is not going to be your cup of tea.

My feeling is that the Luxe is just an Inspire 2 with a new display. As such I don't expect the Luxe to be able to track swimming as you wish @gfp .
In fact even the Versa 3 is not able to track laps due to lack of gyroscope. In the current Fitbit lineup only Sense can.

Thanks for the info, @Giampi71. I had no idea that the newer versions of the Versa don't have the same (or better) swim tracking than what my original Versa had. Sounds like I'm going to need to settle for a device that doesn't track my laps or strokes, since I'm not going to spend more than $200 on a new tracker.
