Why can't we have two Fitbit devices paired to one Fitbit account?

Anyone else come up with a creative solution to being unable to sync two devices on one account?  I have an Inspire HR to use when I’m  it wanting to be careful about jewelry and a Luxe with Gorjana bracelet to wear when I’m out of the house. I had been syncing my Luxe only when I wear it so I can get notifications on it, keeping my HR tucked away on my waistband so it will continue to track then re-syncing to my HR when I take off my Luxe. Today, when I synced my HR, it reverted to the steps on my Luxe and even changed the steps on my HR display to match what my Luxe said (which was not accurate because I only wore it for part of my day).  This is very frustrating, making it clear that Fitbit is not interested in truly meeting customers’ needs to wear a luxury Fitbit device. Seems like a simple programming fix could make it possible to sync two devices at once if Fitbit prioritized customer satisfaction.

It is not likely to work well doing it the way you do (wearing both at the same time but with only one attached to your account).  A better method would be to switch between devices but ALWAYS make sure that you fully sync before switching.

So, for example, suppose you wear your Inspire HR while you are puttering at home and then heading to the gym.  Make sure your Inspire HR is connected to your account and wear it through the day (or however long).  When you are ready to go out for the evening, make sure your Inspire HR syncs completely.  Check your account on your Fitbit app and confirm that your steps/ activities from the Inspire are reflected on your app.  Then get out your Luxe.

On your app click on the person icon/photo top left.  On the next screen scroll down to + set up a device.  Choose Luxe from the list.  You will get a message saying there is an Inspire HR connected to your account, do you want to switch?  Confirm that you do and follow the instructions.

Next is the important part: be sure to sync your Luxe and check that it has all the steps from your account reflected on the Luxe.  Your Inspire HR, your app, and your Luxe should all show the same number of steps!

Once your Luxe reflects your steps then you can go ahead and wear it and you should not lose any steps.

Unfortunately a disadvantage of switching is that you may need to set up your notifications each time - annoying but relatively straightforward.
