I have the same concern. Even after a pretty hard workout with kettlebells and spinning, the next day my readiness score has only dropped by 2 or 3 points! I cannot have recovered that quickly at 50+. Do I have to half kill myself to make my workout count? This is making me wonder how accurate the formula used to track readiness really is.

You can manually test by squeezing a tennis ball.  If you can do it without any loss of effort, then you are in fact ready.  If you are not able to squeeze it, then you should wait.

Check this out by Andrew Huberman. He’s a university professor and provides lots of very practical protocols based on scientific papers. He talks about readiness.
