shipping pushed back to 1st of July ?

Hi,

 

Two important French retailers (FNAC and Boulanger) say that the shipping of the Fitbit Luxe has been postponed to the 1st of July.

 

Are they completely mistaken ?

U.S.  Fitbit Store still says late May but I have no idea if that is correct.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

The French Fitbit Store and Amazon still say it will ship late may.

Could be shipping is an issue, too? Plus, being in France might mean you wait a bit longer.

In my experience, the shipping dates seem to vary, but it's usually only by a few days.

Hello Odyssey 13, are you saying that if you pre=ordered a fitbit luxe from the online store, it can be picked up at Best Buy?  Or do we have to wait for it until July when it ships possibly from fitbit directly?

Was just on BestBuy website (5/22). Release date has not yet been announced. You'd think FitBit would send an update email. Most discouraging interaction.

Yes most discouraging. Very disappointed in this company’s communication.
Thinking of cancelling and just getting the Apple Watch.--

@joannagale the original poster was in France. I'm in the USA. When I checked, Best Buy listed May 31st as the day it would be available. Just looked again and it's telling me "to be announced", so it seems it may be taking longer than anticipated.

The shipping date in Australia has also slipped from "Late May" to "June".

One local retailer (The Good Guys) has the release date listed at 7th July 2021.

I've just been on livechat and asked for an update because I can't wait any longer. I live in the UK btw. This is what they have told me: 

 

FitBit:I can see it here that the Fitbit Luxe will be shipped by June.

Me: Yeah... any date in particular?

FitBit: As of now, we can't provide a specific date but our team is arranging it and will send you an email once the item is ready to ship.

Best Buy site now says the release date for the FitBit Luxe is as yet to be determined. Fitbit owned by Google should release some information on when shipments will start

I just received an email from FitBit advising that I should receive the Luxe within the next few weeks. Not what I had hoped for, but it is good to get some communication directly from FitBit. A discount code for accessories was also included.

Call me crazy but after 8 weeks and only another week or so to go, I have decided to cancel my order. The Luxe was for a gift but I now have doubts that it was the best choice so pulled the plug.

 

To Fitbit's credit, cancelling the order was as simple as it could have been - just clicking a link in the order status page.

 

Good luck to everyone else who gets a Luxe!
