1400 vs 1900 & overbudget?

I've eaten 1400 calories today

My budget for today is 1900

I'm over budget.

Guessing that 1900 is for all of today, I'm only half way through and have eaten two thirds of my calories?

Does the tile that show how many calories you have left to eat for the day still show calories? The under budget, in the zone, over budget tile adjusts throughout the day based on how many calories you've eaten versus how many calories you've burned.

When I get up for work, I have burned between 300 and 400 calories just from being alive. I eat breakfast which is usually about 300+ calories and then my Fitbit tells me that I'm over in calories. That's simply because at that time of the day, I have no deficit between what I've burned and what I've eaten. Yet, a lot of those days I end the day in the zone or under budget.

I'd say pay more attention to the amount that you are burning and the amount that you are eating than the under budget, in the zone, over budget tile. I mostly start paying attention to that tile toward the end of the day, when I've eaten the majority or all of what I'm going to eat for the day and am less active than earlier in the day. A lot of people ignore that tile altogether.
