hi there!
So I'm Tanya, new fitbit addict- got a charge for my birthday off my wife and have been addicted to walking since!
Also doing weight watchers, currently at nearly 20lb weight loss, but still have a long way to go (152lb- ish)
Are there any other people in a similar boat?
Happy Stepping!!

aside from walking and never ending cardio, i find it very effective if you log your food and go on target calories or less. I lose 7kg for almost 2 weeks consuming only 500 calories a day but I stop coz its not healthy.

thanks for replying!
I do weight watchers so i track my food there 🙂 got my 20lb sticker today which was great! i eat a lot, but of the right things, the weight is coming off a little at a time, and I am sure the more i get into walking and eating healthier the results will get even better 🙂

I'm in the same boat, with 150+ to lose (still not sure what number I'm aiming for). My past experience is that I do better working on more reasonable expectations (2 lbs max). If I try for more then I just wear myself out. I've just changed my eating habits, which for me means counting calories. I try and keep my protein levels at about 30% and let the carbs and fat fall where they may. Since the end of Feb I'm running ~2.5 lbs/week, so I feel I'm on track.
So welcome, and remember that we're in it for the long haul.

I've lost 40 pounds since mid January doing HMR. I still have a long way to go but I feel good about where I am so far

I just joined weight watchers this week! I was just using the food tracking on fitbit, but it really wasn't helping because I always went way, now I use WW points AND the food tracker on here. Since using WW this week I have consistently been under my calorie intake according to fitbit, I think focusing on the points (since the points are based off of certain nutrients) I now start picking healthier items that keep me full instead of a lot "low calorie" items that might just be full of sugar and other bad stuff and I end up eating too much off it.
I'm open to anyone adding me, I will share my food diary too incase anyone is interested!
Good luck everyone!

@tanyaflutterby Me too! I am currently at 337 and need to lose about 150 but honestly if I lose any significant amount I'll be thrilled. A few years ago I lost 80lbs and then my husband got ill and I was caring for him and gained 55lb back. He had terminal cancer and just wanted to enjoy the last bit of his life so we ate out a lot and sat around watching movies and basically had a sedentary life. I've lost 18lb now since getting back into the groove and really feel motivated by joining challenges and getting to share with others. You can add me as friend if you'd like. I hope you find inspiration and motivation in these forums.

The majority of people here is on the same boat as you are. I'm on a 100lb++ weight loss journey. Seems impossible at first but it is possible as long as you keep a good mind and be positive. So far I've lost 70lb. Not at a comfortable weight yet but it's progress. There will be ups and down on this journey but all I have to say is don't binge even when you feel like crapp. Count those calories. Make this journey to change your life and not just for the moment.
