I have had a lot of repetitive use injuries side line me this past year. I did get down over 20 lbs last year only to gain 10 back. But I am still down 10 from where I was this time last year. I take heart in that fact. And now I want to build upon it. Starting with the first two pounds!
I want to lose 2 lbs a week. No more than that simple amount. Just 2 lbs. I am currently at 360 lbs. If I start today losing 2 lbs a week, I could be able to get down 104 in year. I think I would just be happy to get down to 300 by the end of the year truth be told.
Just two pounds. No more. No less. Just two little pounds.
Who's up to join me? The rules are simple. Just post where you are today and in a week check back in and up date. I will be doing it.
Today I weight 360 lbs, but who knows where I will be in a week....

I want to join as well!
This past Christmas season I was hit with a bad case of bronchitis and was out of excercise for almost three months (my lungs got in pretty bad shape due to the infection). I lost 30lbs in 2 weeks due to being sick and went from 380lbs to 350lbs. Bronchitis aside, it felt great to shed some weight! I was AND felt lighter! Now my lungs are back to normal and I'm starting to slowly put on some weight and I can't have any of that. I don't want any of that, so, I want to join you in your mission and hopefully you can help me with mine too? I'm at 358lbs right now and I would be more than happy to get to 300lbs by the end of the year. 😄

I was poking around on the internet the other day and came across how to find your basal metabolic rate and your active metabolic rate. See the link below:
How to Break a Weight-Loss Plateau
I spent a good hour last night playing with my number for target weight and what a baisc 2000 cal diet would put me in for weight. Just some fun stuff, but gets you thinking. For once all the algabra I learned in High School and Collage payed off. Who knew?!
Any ways, I made it down to 351 this week. I can't seem to break it. Plateaus are like that. I sat at the last plateau for nearly 6 months.
Keep up the good fight for fitness!!!

Good News!! Well, at least for me it is. I didn't go up in weight over the weekend. I stayed the same. I had some serious talk with my family. My daughter understands better. She really wants for us to do more together. I also had to change what motivational tactics with her to get her to understand. Things like ziplining don't appeal to her. She wants to go to amusement parks and the like. I want to take her to these places too, but my size makes such a jaunt daunting. I can't fit into the seats. She understands this. Now she reminds me to log my food. It works out.

Well, after a weeks of being stuck at 351, I finally broke the plateau! I have been able to bring my weight down to 345. It was hard trying to get there too. I hope I can keep this weight loss train on the tracks as I move into the weekend. I have plenty of things going against me like Easter treats.
This change in weight puts me down about 15 lbs now.
345 lbs!!!!

This sounds perfect for me. I always understood that more than 2lbs would be not healthy for you. My main issue is late night snacking. just got the surge and I am loving it. Also I purchased Starfit app which syncs with Fitbit. Really cool.My weight is 193 and I want to get to 170. I will check in again on 4/3/16

depending on when you eat dinner and when you go to bed... Late night snacking is why I use Raspberry Keytones (100mg -Walmart about $5). I take one about half an hour after dinner and this helps control my urges to snack. You should try it and let me know what you think. (Caffine free too)

It has been a busy week or so since my last post. I have had a good success with losing some of the weight. I have managed to keep it off too. Now I am adjusting my eating again! I have adjusted my calories down a bit to compensate the difference in weight.
I have not been going to the gym as regularly as I should. I have been busy getting ready for a trip with my kid to see some long time friends. A bunch of us (and our kids) are getting together for a Nerf War. My kid and I are do meal planning in advance so that we know what healthy options are out there for us as go. We are even packing healthy low cal snacks.
Still holding steady at 345 lbs!!!

I got down to 344 this week.
It is turning out to be a great weekend with friends. We are all trading healthy recipes and work out plans too. You know the last thing you expect to be talking about with people you haven't see in 10 years. How times have changed.

I feel for you. It was hard getting below 300 myself. However tracking my food it helped me see what I was consuming.

It looks like @StarEcho hasn't been on the forums for more than 6 months. Doing the @ name thing will send her a message (this assumes I believe that they haven't turned off that functionality). Hopefully we will hear an update this way.
