Hi all,

SW 244LB
CW 230LB
GW 209LB
My husband is in the military and has been deployed since late Jan, he should be back sometime in June my aim was to hit the 209lb mark before he got back but that's looking less realistic after some busy scary weeks with my 2 year old having a cancer scare but as a mini goal I want to be under 216lb by the start of June, then I will be 2st off since he deployed. I have a school reunion in July and my graduation in October so lots to work towards this year!
How are you all doing? What are your goals?

Thank you, Bobbinyc!
I try to get at least 20K steps per day, though I would like to get a bit more in! I'm not awesome at hitting that goal, and get anywhere from 4K-25K per day. I have a desk job, so it's not easy!
My ultimate goal is to have a daily deficit of 2000 calories. I aim to burn 3500 calories/day so I can eat 1500. I adjust my intake accordingly.
How I get all those steps when I sit for 8+ hours a day: park at the end of parking lots (work, grocery store, mall, you name it), take the long way to go to the bathroom, drink lots of water so I have to take multiple trips to the aforementioned bathroom, walk to the gym in my neighborhood, take the long way back from the gym, walk aimlessly around the neighborood, walk with my puppy, take fitness classes, and track my food intake!!!! It merits all those exclamation points because all of the activities above would be worthless if I ate the way I used to. That's what got me into this mess of being 100+ lbs overweight. Tracking is the best thing I have ever done for weight loss. Annoying, but so worth it when stepping on the scale. 🙂

Thank you for all the support and motivation! My biggest changes have been not eating when bored (that's when I go on this discussion to talk me down from eating!) and if I know I have a busy day, I try to hit the gym in the morning because I know at the end of the day I will feel too tired to go.

Hi everyone, things are going well here the weight is not going down fast but a few ounces. I see a big difference in the way my clothes are fitting looser. I have been logging all of my food and I know it helps to hold me accountable. I am going to try and wait untill I am at least mildly hungry before I eat the next meal. Eating has been my main activity until recently. I want to make exercise my go to activity..
Everyone is doing so great....I can't imagine doing even 15000 a day that is amazing. I've made 15,000 once when I went hiking. I have gotten 10000 everyday for the last week and I have a hike scheduled for Sunday.
I have quite a few breaks through the day being a school bus driver. We go year round here in Utah. So I work until the 2nd of July. I may have been a bit optimistic with my goal. I think I need to bring it up 3 lbs and just go a little slower. You guys are great and are helping me stay on track. Thanks everyone. Peggyjane

I finally hit under 200 today!
SW 245
Challenge SW 210
CW 199
4th GW was 190 - but I'm taking it slow and easy and not starving myself - so let's change it to 195.
GW 175
I've been on a 5 lbs a month clip lately - I started this 7 months ago and starved for 3 months - down 25 lbs, then it's taken me 4 months to lose the next 20. Now I'm exercising every day and eating much more liberally - like what I can live with on a forever basis. It took me 8 years to grow from 165 to 245, looks like it'll take me a year to get it off.

Oh uhm.... it's a yellow box with a tiny pack of crackers inside and a small container of hummus. Cant remember the name, but I found it with the other hummus and tzatziki products.
It's great for work too!
There is another company that makes pretzels with hummus. Also in 1 serving packs. That's Sabra. Sooooo good!!

Sounds to me you are doing well. That must have been scary. Glad all is ok. Just keep moving in the right direction. I jsut got my fitbit 3 days ago, it has made me more aware of my food intake, not necessarily volume, but calories. Hang in there.

Hello All,
Everyone seems to be doing great. Excited for you all.
I just started my journey in earnest on Memorial Day. I've yet to reach the 10k steps a day, but I am working hard as much as I can all things considered.
Getting 100oz of water daily and making sure to burn more calories than I take in, It's amazing how much you can lose when you begin eating properly and NOT eating just because you're bored. And also stop drinking sodas.

Hope to be at 270lbs by Labor Day, 3 days after my birthday.

Today was a challenge I had a work inservice all day and was provided lunch and no time to exercise. The lunch had well over 2000 calories so I am over quite a bit for the day. I came home at 4:30 and did 45 min on the treadmill and had to do another 40 min before bed to get in my 10,000 steps I am giving myself no excuses on the exercise. Tomorrow I have planned a hike, and I can control my food myself so back on track. Good job everybody you are amazing and so motivating thanks.

Hi everyone, Today was disappointing I got on the scale and was up 2 lbs. I am going to start Monday on a weight circut at the gym. I've been told it can help you get more fatburning on the treadmill. I have a plan to go hiking today to get my steps. I am feeling great and have found that I am eating more calories than I need. I also and learning more about how many calories are in what I eat.
I am doing 10K a day no excuses. Also going to stay under 1400 calories and see how that goes. I have lost 60 lbs since last August. It is just getting a little harder because my body is really holding on to the fat.
Keep up the good work everyone.
