Hi all,
After a couple of these keeping me on track ish since mid jan i thought i would start another one, hoping some of you will join me
SW 244LB
CW 230LB
GW 209LB
My husband is in the military and has been deployed since late Jan, he should be back sometime in June my aim was to hit the 209lb mark before he got back but that's looking less realistic after some busy scary weeks with my 2 year old having a cancer scare but as a mini goal I want to be under 216lb by the start of June, then I will be 2st off since he deployed. I have a school reunion in July and my graduation in October so lots to work towards this year!
How are you all doing? What are your goals?

Hi Peggy
Eat lots of healthy food and under 1400 is a good idea. Is 155 realistic?
Stay with the journey and we will get healthier together. I'd rather have a conservative goal of 1 lb loss a week and beat it than be disappointed in myself. I try to eat a fewer cals by setting my goal at 1.5 lbs so fitbit looks for a 750 deficit while I'm happy to find a 1 lb loss.
I'm very close to goal weight so I find it hard to get the last 3.4 lbs off. Some say it is because I'm 74 but that is not stopping me.
Glad that you joined us.
There is strength in numbers of supportive women. We are getting slimmer together.

Get enough protein from bean, tofu etc. and vegan is so healthy. I'm mostly vegetarian when at home. Hard to keep it up when away from family over this past 12 days. They tried to help out and bought my Go Lean cereal with 13 gm of Had salads and veggies, beans and in a couple meals I had 2 meats and chicken breasts. On the trip home from NC the plane stopped in Detroit. I found a black bean veggie burger and had peanuts and water on the plane.
I'm so glad to be home and able to go out and pluck lettuce, chard, snap peas and kale from my garden.
Time for a blended green smoothie.
Welcome,
Barbara G

Love to insight of eating from boredom. Lot's of us are on autopilot when stressed, anxious or bored and start snacking away. I have to monitor this at night or I go unconscious and eat too much good food. Even hummus and whole rye crackers have calories that add up. Walnuts too have 190 cals in just 1/4 cup.
Great progress for you 3 lbs vanished.
Keep it up,
Barb

Glad that you are kicking butt with your steps. It is so inspiring that you are getting in so many steps in spite of a desk job.
Great jobs everyone who is getting there steps in and logging their food.

Annabegan,
July 4 is 18 days away. Most of us are loosing 1-2 lbs a week. 10 lbs does not seem realistic. Set a goal that you can make like 3-5 lbs by the 4th.
Just a suggestion.

Hi Bobby in NYC
Thanks for remembering. The renovation went slowly and I worked hard each day and didn't make as much progress as I wanted to but it was just my sister and I except on one day. Glad I'm back and walking in the lovely countryside again. Too many family dynamics and obstacles to progress. Did my best tho' to demolish the old plaster, lath and floor. We began to rebuild the sub floor.
I wish them well. I don't think they realize how long it will take but I may be wrong.
Hope that you are doing well.

Hi Euni
It helps to examine what you say to yourself to convince yourself to" throw the weekend away". Do you understand why you listen to the sabotage voice? What lie do you believe that let's you block your health improving for the whole weekend?
If you practice listening to the thoughts and standing up to them then you get stronger. The more you confront your inner voices the more success you build in getting to your healthy goals.
Some people pray daily for help from above to be strong and resist temptation.
Diabetes is a dangerous disease that has horrid consequences of complications and you don't want them.
I wish you strength and courage on your journey to health.

Woo hoo my friends.
I made it to 141.8 a new recent low today. Now that leaves only 1.8 lbs. to let go of in 17 days on July 4th.
I haven't broken thru 140 since 2006 if I remember right.
It is a new day so resolve to stay active and keep that deficit in calories going. Eat lots of veggies, some fruit and lean protein and you will get to your goal.
Best wishes to all the weight warriors. We can do this.

What a bummer about your music teaching time being cut. Arts are so important in schools.
Breath deep and try to eat healthfully through this hard time.
Yea about the weight loss and size 14 jeans.

Barbara,
Congratulations on hitting the 141.8 mark! You're less than 2 lbs away from your 4th of July goal and you have over 2 weeks left. I know you can do it! Keep that goal in sight and it will happen.
I get back on the scale on Friday and I am hoping to have lost at least a pound as we are leaving for a vaction to the beach for 5 days. So I need to try to maintain my pre-vacation weight loss. Luckily the place we're staying has a full kitchen so we can me ourselves some healthy options. I just have to be careful when we're going out to our favorite restaurants to make more healthy selections. I'll also stick with my restaurant rule, "only have dessert if I'm splitting it with my husband." This way I still get to enjoy a couple of bites without eating the whole thing!! 🐵
