Hi all,
After a couple of these keeping me on track ish since mid jan i thought i would start another one, hoping some of you will join me
SW 244LB
CW 230LB
GW 209LB
My husband is in the military and has been deployed since late Jan, he should be back sometime in June my aim was to hit the 209lb mark before he got back but that's looking less realistic after some busy scary weeks with my 2 year old having a cancer scare but as a mini goal I want to be under 216lb by the start of June, then I will be 2st off since he deployed. I have a school reunion in July and my graduation in October so lots to work towards this year!
How are you all doing? What are your goals?

Currently at 301.
Was at 299 a couple of days ago. Hoping to get back on the downard trend and keep it going.
Potato Chips, Honey Buns and Pepsi (lots of it) used to dominate my menu. Haven't had a Pepsi since Memorial Day (water and milk every once in a while), one bag of baked chips and onr honey bun.
Junk food really did me in but I'm eating better and smaller portions now and it is really making a difference.
If I can do it, I know all of you can do it!!!

So, after 3 days using my fitbit (is that all really?) Ihave lost 3 pounds. The challenges are really keeping motivated, I'm sure I am going to make or exceed my 5 pound by the 4th goal!

Just a mistake and as you have reminded me our weight fluctuates. Forgive yourself. Glad that you are back on track on the treadmill. You will start losing again and will be nearer to your goal by the 4th. 10 days to go.
Hope it cools down for you.
You can do this.

Week 5 weigh-in (9 days to go!)
SW: 250
Challenge SW: 239
CW: 222.8
July 4 GW: 215
Sept 13 GW (wedding): 170
GW: 140
Total weight loss: 27.2 lbs
Weight loss since starting the challenge: 16.2 lbs
Average weight loss per week: 3.2 lbs
I have 7.8 lbs to lose in 9 days. That's a tall order, so I won't be disappointed if I don't make it! My bridal shower is this weekend, so I will be pretty sedentary (and eating/drinking more than usual...definitely drinking ). I'll be happy if my weight begins with 21. Also rethinking the wedding weight loss goal. I know it's a stretch, so I'll probably up it to 180-190. If I keep up the weight loss at my current pace, I will end up being around 188 by the wedding day. That's a big "if" though! The good news is that I ordered my dress 2 sizes smaller than the store recommended (bought it in March - they wanted me to buy a 20W and I went with a 16W), and when it came in 2 weeks ago, I tried it on and it fit!
Keep up the great work, everyone! 9 days!!

Was actually down to 124 earlier this week so I know I can do it by next Wednesday! After 5 months of repeatedly going down and up a couple pounds each month, this challenge has motivated me to hammer down and I'm actually achieving consistent results! Feels great!
We are almost there everyone!

Yea Chan,
Consistent results. You are inspiring. Hey it is your bridal shower and you can insist on a lot of dancing or walking and less sitting actually. Get the group moving. Also, try to drink lots of water between drinks. One drink, to 2 glasses of water might lower the calorie consumption and avoid a nasty hangover. Don't let a shower sabotage your stellar record.
If you keep up the great progress they will be taking in that size 16 the week before your wedding and you will look beautiful.
We can do this.

Hi all
June 25 CW is 142.2 so that is 9 days to drop this last 2.2 lbs which are stuck like glue to my tummy.
I'm not giving up as I momentarily hit 141.8 and bounced off it last week. I'm burning lots of calories and walking, gardening and dancing and even made another 15,600 steps yesterday.
I'm eating very sensibly, mostly veggies and fruit and some whole grains. I'm in the normal bmi range at 5'7" but want less jelly belly. At least I've kept off the 10 lbs that started with in Feb.
Now off my duff and move today in spite of a change of plans.
Happy challenge day my buddies,
Barbara G

Only 2 more pounds by next Saturday! We had to travel this week for a funeral in Atlanta, which makes clean eating and exercise difficult. We stayed with my inlaws and I went for a run in their neighborhood which is all hills! My stair climb count that day was 43! I'm adding another goal for my anniversary of 140. It'll be a big push to reach that since it's in one month, but I think I can do it. We are going to Cancun for vacataion and I'd love to fit into my clothes from my honeymoon.

Barbara G - thanks for your encouragement! You are still my inspiration/role model.
When you have so little weight left to lose, I wonder how meaningful the numbers are. I mean, how do you know if it is water weight, a gain in muscle, your body adjusting to warmer weather, etc. (Sometimes I think I'm just losing brain cells!) Your energy level is certainly high enough! Hope everything else is good.
As far as I'm concerned, you are successful!

Ahhhh it's check in time!
I am quite happy that I broke the 245 lbs mark for a few consecutive days now. 9 days and 2.6 lbs WOULD be possible if I WAS (or WERE??) staying at home. But in fact I am flying out to New Hampshire tonight for a 1 week vacation and even though I am determined to keep on track, it may be hard to resist the goodies and that "it's vacation" excuse.
Either way - I lost 6 lbs in 3 weeks. That's great and even if I gain a pound or two (just air travel makes me retain water like nobodys business), they will come off quickly again.

Oh and I can only recommend to those of you who are diabetic or pre-diabetic: Ask your GP for Victoza. It's a diabetes management medication, but it also helps me feel fuller longer and suppress my appetite and cravings. I am actually taking it just for weight loss. And my psychiatrist just confirmed that latest studies have shown, that it also has a positive effect on depression. You have to be willing to poke yourself once a day though.

I buy Pure Protein bars at Costco and they have 180-200 calories each. I think a major acheivement in this weight loss process is not fooling ourselves about how much we are eating. Choosing lots of veggies and lean protein is good for health and also leaves you filling full.
Enjoy your journey. You are not alone.
We are doing this together.

Excellent understanding of what is happening. I'm glad people can see your progress. Also try 1500 for a month and keep up your powerful 16,000 k in steps. Almost everyone reports that the scale starts showing results during the 2nd month if it is not showing it in the first. Muscles burn 8x more calories than fat so your system should be getting more efficient.
Stay with it. We are doing it together.
