My husband is in the military and has been deployed since late Jan, he should be back sometime in June my aim was to hit the 209lb mark before he got back but that's looking less realistic after some busy scary weeks with my 2 year old having a cancer scare but as a mini goal I want to be under 216lb by the start of June, then I will be 2st off since he deployed. I have a school reunion in July and my graduation in October so lots to work towards this year!
How are you all doing? What are your goals?

Walking EVERYDAY, no excuses. Eating less, and adding in my stationary bike for help. Trying so hard to beat my personal goals on Fibit, and it is working.

Wow some of you are really getting amazing steps in every day! Averaging 15k a day? That's twice as much as I get in on a good day!
Working in a sedentary office job doesnt help...
But the weekends are usually a bit better!
Now... I have to say I hate TTOM! HATE HATE HATE it. My weight has been pretty steady before TTOM came around. So I was hoping for a nice drop with the waterweight going down. But nope. This morning I am up a pound. Life is a bi..ch.
So it's healthy fare today... strawberries and greek yoghurt for breakfast and then later we will be BBQing trout, chicken breast, asparagus, sweet corn and portobello mushroom caps. Fruit for dessert.
Hoping for a little drop on the scale early next week, need the motivation of the numbers going down.

Hi this is Peggy I just got my fitbit charge hr. I am suprised so far how I am motivated to reach my 10,000 steps just because it is a goal on the fitbit. I have done 10,000 2 days in a row. I am loving it and what it does for me so far. I am making a goal to lose 5 lbs by July fourth. I have lost 60 lbs since last August with little exercise but with a nutrition coach, (my daughter). My July 4th goal is 5 lbs. It will put me below 150 for the first time in 30 years. Wish me luck I'm glad I found you guys. Peggyjane

You can do this! I want to lose 20 lbs by mid August before school starts. I teach kindergarten and have difficulty keeping up with the little ones.

I've just completed my graduate degree for teaching, and my study habits involve snacking...
So I'm trying to start over with my exercise and food logs now that I've gained back all 4 lbs that I'd previously lost 2 years ago.
July 4th Goal: Lose 5 lbs.

I had a major job interview this morning by Skype and spent all day Saturday working on my Professional Profile in PowerPoint to send them before the interview. I walked less than 5K steps and was so stressed out that I only ate 500 cals, yikes. Pretty rare for me but one bad day won't kill me. People at work are starting to notice my weight loss and in about 10-lbs I'll need some new clothes I think. I tried on a dress size 16 and it fit in the waist but as usual was huge in the chest, the 18 of the same dress barely zipped in March/April. If I can lose a few more inches in the waist (where I carry a lot of my weight) then I should be a 14 soon!

Good Morning:) I just wanted to update my fellow fibit family, I am down 6 lbs! I am currently 4 pounds away from my goal and its weeks away from our deadline. I can contribute it to consistentcy and way better nutrition choices. I am literally eating all day, but now instead of that row of oreo's its raw vegetables or fruit. I eat salads and homemade stir fry ( my fav) I am drinking tons of water and tea with nothing in it. I can't believe it made it this far. I am taking it one day at a time.

Hi Peggy...I just got my fitbit charge HR a couple of weeks ago and love it. I know my biggest challenge is the dietary part. I see your daughter is your coach there, any suggestions?

ACK!! Only a banana>?!?!?!?!? You have to eat to lose weight!! When you put your body in starvation mode it holds onto EVERYTHING because it doesn't think anymore food is coming!!

Hi back Euni, My daughter is getting a masters in nutrition. Some of the things she tells me have been very helpful. I buy pure protein bars they are low in sugar 2 grams and high in protein about 25 grams these are nice because they are quick for breakfast or any time you need a healthy snack the protein is what you need to stave off hunger. Another thing I do is use a fiber powder in my smoothy every day along with spinich and fruit and chia seeds I blend this with unsweetened almond coconut milk and 1/2 banana for the smooth taste. It is filling and delicious. I hope this helps. PeggyJane

congradulations!!!keep up the good work. I just went on my first hike in forever and I made it clear to the end. It was 1 1/2 miles up a steep mountain side and of course 1 1/2 back I got 17000 plus steps yesterday. I ache today but I am very happy with this fitbit for some reason I feel responsible now to do exercise. I just hope it lasts. Thanks everyone for being here for me. Peggyjane

Weighed in over the weekend! Down another 2lbs! Now I'm only 6lbs from my July 4th goal. This is so exciting. I was at a stand still for about 3 weeks until I finally buckled down and started keeping track of every single thing that I ate......every meal, snack, drink; I even logged the two bites I ate of my husband's dessert from our dinner last night. I make sure I eat no more that 1500 calories, but I also make sure I burn at least 2500 calories each day! So that 1000 calorie difference is working!! It's so amazing that the scale is moving now that I'm logging in everything.
I also park my car at the opposite end of the parking lot at work, grocery store, and shopping mall. And when I'm at work I drink lots of water so I make sure when I go to the restroom, I take the "scenic" route, which means walking the entire length of our 3rd floor, plus the 2nd floor before actually stopping at the restroom (500 steps each time time I do this)!!
Just 4 more weeks to go.....stick with it everyone. We can do this!!
