4th July weight loss! Post your goals

Hi all,

After a couple of these keeping me on track ish since mid jan i thought i would start another one, hoping some of you will join me

SW 244LB

CW 230LB

GW 209LB

My husband is in the military and has been deployed since late Jan, he should be back sometime in June my aim was to hit the 209lb mark before he got back but that's looking less realistic after some busy scary weeks with my 2 year old having a cancer scare but as a mini goal I want to be under 216lb by the start of June, then I will be 2st off since he deployed. I have a school reunion in July and my graduation in October so lots to work towards this year!

How are you all doing? What are your goals?

Well, it's July 4th.....

My weight this morning, proved that the feeling I had last night, (as I snacked on Pringles, that they were going to come back and haunt me), came true....

So.........I'm up half a pound....lesson learned.....not going to get discouraged!

Besides, 177.6 has a nice Patriotic ring to it!

Happy 4th to all

To Barbara, Joan, and any others I may have missed: thank you for your encouragement! I feel the same way. It's no longer me wanting to be 140 for my wedding...it's me wanting to be as healthy as I can be.

So, now that it's July 4th, here are the final numbers!

SW: 250

Challenge SW: 239

CW: 219.9

July 4 GW: 215

Sept 13 GW (wedding): 170

GW: 140

Total weight loss: 30.1 lbs

Weight loss since starting the challenge: 19.1 lbs

Though I missed the mark by 4.9 lbs, I DID hit an overall weight loss of 30.1 lbs. I'll take it!

Congrats to all who have been keeping up the hard work! Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and I'll see you in the Labor Day challenge!

Barb,

Thanks just got back from a 4th BBQ and DID resist the sugar. But hubby
brought home a few cookies and I keep thinking I can have one. You KNOW
that won't happen. I would eat them all. So your posting was perfect
for me to read right now. Thanks again.

So, not much lost this challenge (I started the beginning of June)

SW 178

That's about a pound a week...I was hoping for 10lbs total, but progress is progress. I definitely feel like I'm in a plateau right now, so I just need to keep on keepin' on 🙂

I did it! I met my goal and I have lost 40lbs since JanuarySmiley Happy  Thank you weight watchers and walking!  I have decided to lose at least 5 more, maybe 10, so I am going to join the labor day challenge!

Dear Joan,

Hooray for you. Tell your hubby to hide the darn things to support your health. Don't get near them they are addictive drug vehicle and you are no longer a junkie!

Stay strong.

Just count the days without sugar and it will get easier. Just eat lots of veggies and lean protein. Have a few blueberries, raspberries or black berries for a treat maybe.

Rooting for your health,

Barbara G

Incredible success for all who stayed on course and lost weight. CONGRATULATIONS TO US ALL !!!!!

Even if we didn't make the exact number, we lost and therefore are winners.

Let's aim for Labor Day now in the new discussion group. Let's keep a good thing going.

I began July 27 with FB at 153 and today I made my July 4th goal of 140, I hit 140.6 but I call that a win.

Going to see if I can lose 5 more lbs by Labor Day and I hope it is the tummy that slims down. It has been 9 years since that weight. Right now I made it to 21.9 BMI in the middle of normal so I hope to get to 21.14 at 135.

Happy 4th to all my wonderful challenge buddies.

You are awesome to have lost 30.1 and on your way to your new Labor Day goal. Double down on your strategy in a healthy way to make your goal as the wedding is only 10 weeks away.  I hope you post a photo of yourself in your wedding day. If you can burn off 2 lbs a week you will lose 20 but if you can boogie like a madwomen you may be able to lose 3 lbs a week and hit 189.  What is possible? How bad do you want it?  Remember those veggies.

Happy 4th,

Barbara G

Come to Labor Day and keep on keeping on. A lb a week is just fine. That is not a plateau that is loss. You are about to break through starting today to lose more anyway.

thank you Barbara. It is really hard. And I am not doing so well. But the
thing is I am not stable in my living situation and not realizing it is
setting me back for failure. Unfortunately i keep on losing and gaining it
back. My diet and other plans are not working so well and I am in between 2
states. I have to reset my goal, find purpose and motivation again and move
forward. Congrats to all those that came close to their goals or achieve
them. To the others like me who did not, try to re find yourselves first,
then purpose and motivation.
Happy independence day!!!!!

Hi!  I'm a recently retired Elem. Teacher.  I taught for 35 years and have steadily put on weight.  I'm going to have more time to walk and track my food and calories, so I have set a moderate goal of losing 40 pounds by April 2016.  I would love to lose even more, but will be happy with that.  In June, my family is going back to St. George Island for a week.  I would like to have lost 50 pounds by then........June 2016.  I am 62 and my metabolism isn't what it use to be.  Any suggestions are appreciated.  Smiley Happy

Hi @dancefoxtrot

Yes you are completely right! I took my friend out for little walks, since she has to start out small, but she did and I am very proud of her. The problem is that, once I am gone, she'll probably go back to old habits which makes me sad. I worry about her. 😞

The good news is, that I actually hit my 4th of July goal this morning when I stepped on my own home scale again! LOL Just 3 days late, oh well. At least I am already under way to meet my Labour Day goal. 🙂

A pound a week seems sometimes to be frustrating and slow, but it's progress!! You lost 4 lbs! That's great! Give yourself a pat on the back and keep doing what you are doing. Obviously it IS working and really - what is a month more or less, considering how long we have carried around those extra four pounds?

I feel often the same way. And then I look at the overall trend and that's DOWN. That's all that counts! It doesnt matter if I meet my goal in April or May next year. All that matters is that I am moving towards it.

Chin up Annegirl! You are doing GREAT!!

I have a stack of shorts that I cannot fit into.  Along with my ultimate goal of 135 (which I haven't seen in years) my goal is to get into all of the shorts.  I can't buy any new clothes either!  I have lots of new clothes that I bought and can't get into.

Baby steps!  But lots of baby steps!
