4th July weight loss! Post your goals

Hi all,

After a couple of these keeping me on track ish since mid jan i thought i would start another one, hoping some of you will join me

SW 244LB

CW 230LB

GW 209LB

My husband is in the military and has been deployed since late Jan, he should be back sometime in June my aim was to hit the 209lb mark before he got back but that's looking less realistic after some busy scary weeks with my 2 year old having a cancer scare but as a mini goal I want to be under 216lb by the start of June, then I will be 2st off since he deployed. I have a school reunion in July and my graduation in October so lots to work towards this year!

How are you all doing? What are your goals?

Welcome B3

Great website about reversing diabetes or pre-diabetes in drfuhrman.com. Know his book, "End to Diabetes" ?  He is all about nutrient dense food and avoiding empty carbs and sugars and fats. He has good recipes, too.

I'm aiming for 140 on 4 July also.

Lots of us are doing this challenge together.

Great resistance to so many temptations.

Definite overall win.

Make sure you eat enough healthy veggies and protein each day.

Keep up the good progress.

You are doing this.

Please explain sit and mark?

If you eat dinner after working out at about 6:30 PM if sounds reasonable if you aren't eating high calorie meals.

TV has so many commercials that we can walk through so that we burn some of it just by moving some.

I just ate a salad very late after 18, 200 steps including 4 dance classes but I got home at 10:30 PM. Now my job is to go to sleep without eating ANY MORE. <--- That was a message to myself.  Water and brush my teeth and sleep, ah sleep. It is 1 AM here.

@Krysta,

Sit and mark...you must be a teacher? I was sitting and lesson planning all night, all weekend, all holidays until Spring Break kicked my a** and I realized I could walk around the block. Sounds like you are doing a lot if things right. I'm suddenly having the same frustration. I was losing 3-4 lbs a week the last 6-weeks, 1200 calls a day, 1000cal+ deficit, burning 2000 extra from 2-3 active hours every day doing cardio (walking, jogging, stairs, elliptical) but this week my scale will not budge. My BF% seems to have dropped a percent or 2. I guess it's time to incorporate strength training into my cardio? My Aria scale is so freaking unreliable. I swear sometimes I have to weigh myself 10 times, get 10 different results, and then have to take the average weight/BF result! My $50 weight watchers scale is much more reliable.

Losing the last few pounds is the woooooorst. I recently reintroduced chicken into my diet (R.I.P. 8 years of vegetarianism) which seems to be helping with my appetite, plus I'm craving/snacking less which is nice

Thank you for being so positive and encouraging! This is MUCH easier when there is a community of people who want you to succeed as much as you do.

I joined the challenge a week ago, so here are my updated numbers:

SW: 250

Challenge SW: 239

CW: 232.6

July 4 GW: 215

Sept 13 GW (wedding): 170

GW: 140

Weight loss since beginning the challenge (7 days): 6.4

Total weight loss: 17.4

I've been sick the past few days and have logged <20K steps since Monday - but the pounds keep coming off! I log every morsel I eat and it makes the biggest difference. (And I have completely avoided restaurants...and the pie and cupcakes that are in my office today.)

Happy Thursday, all! Keep fighting the fight!

I'm a little late joining this, but I just got my FitBit today and I am obsessed! I have been working on walking my great dane every day, and I think i've been doing pretty good but I will admit that I don't monitor progress as well as I should and the FitBit will help with that!!!

SW/CW 168

GW 140

And I'm off for my second walk of the night! Good luck, folks!

Yahoo to you Trish,

More sucess for you again. You are kicking it I swear. Only 8 more lbs with 5 weeks and 1 day to go.

I went in reverse and am exercising and eating lightly and hoping to get back to 143 over the weekend. It my be a huge challenge on Sat. PM at my adult son's Birthday party. There is often wonderfully taste food and I need to be super careful. At least there is a good band to dance some cals. off.

Hope that you enjoy the Aria scale. I can't even believe my scale some days like after burning double the calories with 18k in one day and the thing did not move.

But hey don't kick the scale it hurts the toes.

All the best folks,

Are you sure that 130 isn't too skinny at 5'8"? Perhaps you have small bones. I agree that it is hard to lose the last few lbs. 140 sounds like you look good now.  Sounds like you know how to eat healthfully.

Best,

Maren,

Love to know what the nutritionist suggests. 2 months 25 lbs yikes that is 3 lbs a week to lose. Are you very active to burn a lot?

 Welcome.

You and huge dog are benefiting.  I bet you can make 10,000 steps a day with the help of a pooch.

Tracking your food works wonders.

Welcome to the challenge.

Keep your old one for backup, and keep your receipt. My Aria is very unreliable and it us on a flat cement surface. I weighed in this morning, 6 times, and got 3 different weight values and 6 different body fat percentages. I'd take it back if I hadn't lost the receipt. Now I weigh on my WW scale upstairs before I get on the Aria scale, which I have to keep in the basement because it doesn't work on linoleum only ceramic tile or cement. I keep any weight within a pound of my WW scale and then take the closest avg body fat to my WW scale. Good luck with yours!

Would love to get to 145 by July 4th but think that might be a little optimistic based on my schedule and past weight loss history.  So I am going to set 150 as my goal :-).

My goal is to lose 2 lbs. each week until I hit my goal weight - about 65 pounds from now! So my 4th of July Weight Loss Goal = to be 8 lbs. lighter than I am today!

SW: 195 lbs.

CW: 195 lbs.

GW: 187 lbs.

I actually just got back from a Graduation Party so I will re-weigh myself first thing in the morning. 🙂
