Hey all!
I often host free one week groups on Facebook for my friends and friends of friends to help others make healthy changes and commitments. Next week I'm doing a 5 day no-sugar detox group and I'm really excited about it! I often do 7 day clean eating groups, commit to fitness 5 day exercise challenges, etc. but this will be my first detox group. I thought I would see if there was any interest with my fellow Fitbitters in this sort of thing.
Thoughts?

I am interested. I already do not add sugar to anything but I know there is plenty of sugar in other things. Does fruit count?

There are some lower-sugar fruits that are ok in small quantities for the cleanse!

Hi,
I am not sure exactly what a detox or cleanse is. Last year I cut out sugar, sweeteners, honey and syrup. I stopped eating processed foods and know exactly what is in the food I eat. Well, most of the time as I cannot say 100% that they don't use those in restaurants - even though I don't order dessert! If I fancy something sweet I make banana/walnut bread with almond flour and mashed banana frozen with yoghurt is a great substitute for ice-cream. I also cut out white flour, white rice, white bread and pasta. The double motivation was and still is to get healthier and lose weight.
Given this, could I join in on a detox? As I said I am not exactly sure

kudos on removing sugar. might i suggest doing it permanently instead of just 5 days? i ditched it last year and it's worked out very well for me. i can't say i've been perfect, but i'd estimate my sugar consumption has dropped by at least 95%. really the only source of sugar now is low sugar fruits like berries. i also eat the occasional square of 85-90% dark chocolate.

JetV, great job cutting out sugar! The detox group I'm running is more geared towards people who haven't taken the amazing steps you already have and this is a way for them to get their feet wet, if you will, on eating in a healthier way. You are absolutely welcome to join my 5 day group, as I'm sure you have a lot to contribute to help others that are ditching sugar for the first time.
Carl669, congrats to you as well on your success with ditching sugar and becoming healthier! This is actually how I try to eat most of the time, the 5 day group is to help others consider this type of change! Berries, grapefuit and the occational apple are the low sugar fruits I still eat. 😉 Keep up the great work!
For anyone that would like to join my 5 day group, whether you've alerady ditched sugar, or want to give it a try, go ahead and contact me on Facebook, and I'll add you to the group. Cheers!

Have you done a 7 day clean eating lately? I am considering a 30 day no sugar/dairy/red meat/ and wonder if you've done similar?
