I'm starting a 90 Day Weight Loss Challenge on January 1, 2016.
My goal is to lose 20 pounds. I previously lost 60 pounds from May 2011 through December 2012 and would like to trim down a bit more.
Anyone interested?
Track your starting weight on Day 1 and your ending weight on Day 90. This group will be here to encourage and support each other, while also holding each other accountable. Feel free to share your successes and challenges, along with any helpful tips. You can also ask questions.

@CCGettingfit You are doing soooooooooo goooooooood, just keep going, don't stop! In five months time where will you be? You might have five pounds left to lose, but you are in better shape and feel better and you can wear clothes that haven't fit in years, or buy a new, smaller clothes size, so you are a winnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrr, no matter what the scale said. If you keep doing what you are doing you will lose the weight. Your name said it all, CC getting fit, that is your goal and you are doing just that. Now, as an over weight person, I know how important it is for that darn scale to move lower and lower, but as long as it is not going up, it is a good day. Take your measurement, perhaps you are losing inches and gaining muscle weight, muscle weighs more than fat, and it looks sooooooo much better then fat does. I'm proud of you and you make me want to keep going. I have 17 more pounds to give away before I hit my second 25 pound weight lighter goal, that will be 50 pounds for me that I will have given away. That will leave me with 114 pounds to go, or as I like to look at it, 4 more sets of 25 and a little over half of 25. I would love to have just 20 pounds left togive away, but I had to have my cake and eat it to, literally :-). We're all on a journey to a new and healthy lifestyle, just keep moving, just keep moving, and you will get there. Happy weekend everyone and here's to a fun and healthy fitbit weekend.

So today could be a big test for me. I am waiting to catch the train to London, my home town, to see my football team, Fulham, play for the first time this calendar year. I will be seeing all my footy mates. Football here, for fans, involves the pub pre & post game. Add to that, one of our number is "wetting his babies head" and there will be a large temptation to drink. Then when I get back to Devon, at about 9.30pm I have arranged to meet an old colleague, again in the pub, who is down for the weekend. I am determined to stay strong for #DryJanuary.
One good thing there will be at least an hours walking today, The Cottage, Fulham's ground, is 30 minutes walk from the nearest tube. And me and my weights buddies are booked for 5x5 and a HIIT cardio stint at noon tomorrow, rewarded with a walk on a Devon beach.

Good morning my friends! I hope all of you are well and continuing to plug away at your goals and your journey! Gosh we are in the last week of January already and 30 days of our 90 will be under our belts in a few short days!! We are so close to being 1/3 of the way!!! I cannot believe how time passes so quickly, which is a reminder to myself that what may seem like a long way to go weight wise..days and months will pass and before I know it my goal will be achieved. I am also finally at that point where I absolutely DO NOT want to undo all the hard work I have been doing!! I have never felt so motivated and that feels good!! I have today's gym session done..and will now work on menu planning and meal prep for the week...I cannot stress how this helps me stick to it! Have a wonderful Sunday and here is to a fabulous week ahead!!!

Pulling into the final stretch for January. Maintainence has been going well. Even had a few days where I didn't count calories at all. This upcoming week though, I will rev up the steps and aim for a small deficit daily. I have a pair of pants I can just about button, and would love to pull them out in February in time for the 30 day mark.

Hello fellow 90 day'ers, I've lost a total of 18 pounds on this challenge, that's good. I was sick for a few days and wasn't eating, but was still working out, that's bad, but I'm doing much better. Went to the gym this morning did my hour workout then went and ran 2 miles and walked 1 mile. We did leg work in class at the gym and my legs were very tired and heavy feeling, so I had to walk a little, I don't want any injuries to slow me down. I have to say, though I don't always look forward to my workouts, I feel so much better after my workouts. I have music playing and it makes the time fly by and that is a good thing. I'm getting stronger with each workout and I'm going to have to start to push myself a little bit more. I know this may sound crazy, but it scares me a little because I don't want to get hurt or burn myself out. But, I know if I don't continue to grow in strength, stamina, and endurance, I'll never reach my full potential. If anyone has any advice about this little problem I'm all ears. I used to have a trainer and they would push, but they know what they are doing, I kind of don't. I need to work on increasing my speed in jogging, I'm not going to break any land records, but I would like to move at a quicker pace than what I'm moving at now. I am feeling so much better and my eating is getting better, I'm not there 100% yet! But, I am on my way.

I may not always like to exercise, but I will not stop exercising as long as I am able.

@jamfactoryken Hope all went well for you at the football game. Were you able to stay on track? I may not like running, but a good walk is priceless. Let us know what happened and if your team won

Thanks for the enquiry. Yes I stayed off the beers, which my mates definitely did not. Plenty of gentle ribbing from them. And managed to eat well also, had grilled chicken and salad for dinner. Great to wake up on the Sunday and get a full day of activities in, including 5x5, HIIT and a walk on the beach. Cooked veggie noodles for dinner, and made sauces for the week.
Unfortunately Fulham lost, played well, single mistake and went down 1-0 to the team top of the league. We are a small club in the shadow of very big clubs, less than a mile from Chelsea and ten from Arsenal & Spurs. Historically second or third tier of English football, but recently we spent 13 years in the Premier League. We play at Carven Cottage which is widely regarded as the prettiest of English football grounds, and it always gives me a thrill walking up to it. If you like football and ever find yourself in London when we are at home, especially if it is an evening game, it is well worth the trip.

New favorite excerise, shoveling snow. Fitbit does not pick up this activity very well; however, according to the local news, 15 minutes of snow shoveling is equal to 5 miles of bike riding. Well friends and fellow Fitbitters I have run a stage of Le Tour De France this weekend! 38 inches of freshly fallen snow. A veritable winter wonderland. I am thinking of changing my call name to Digger. Ah but instead of Digging for gold, I am digging for pavement! Feeling great, feeling strong, well under calorie targets. Anyone else blasted by the Blizzard? Share your successes and challenges! I love hearing about everyone's progress. Keeping it light and keeping it fun! @MusicMaker, you are an inspiration!!! Night All!

Everyday I'm making a real effort to get my 10k steps. Today I walked to Costco, about a 2.5 mile walk each way and I enjoyed the evening walk. I realized today that if I don't exercise first thing in the morning stuff has a way of getting in the way. This has to be a way of life, the better eating and exercising everyday. I say those words with my mouth, but my head hasn't made the transition of - I need to exercise in order to lose weight, and in order to be healthy I need to exercise and eat better. I am a work in progress and that is always better than not working towards progress at all. Have a fitbit kind of day tomorrow all, stay active and safe.
