@Bogdel wrote:Hello, Everyone! I am happy to report that I reached my 90 day goal and I lost a total of 24 lbs (10.8 Kg). My goal was to loose 20 lbs. I started at 183.5 lbs on January 7, and was 159.5 lbs on March 26.
Thanks, @CoachMarcus for the challenge, and thank you all for your encouragement and tips along the way. I am heading on to my next 10 lbs down by the middle of May.
Best wishes to you all as you continue your journey to optimal health.

@scalemedown - Awesome!!! Congrats on losing over 30 pounds!!! That is a huge accomplishment. Feel free to share any advice & tips you believe could help other people on their journey.
@scalemedown wrote:Hi Coach Marcus, I am a couple of days early but will report now on my results of the 90 day challenge as I do not know if I will have coverage on the actual due date.
I started this challenge on the 1-1-16 at 68 kilos and am now 54.3 kilos so I have passed my hopeful expectations by a good amount. In pounds that would be 68 kgs is 149.6 lbs and 54.3 kgs is 119.5 lbs so that is a loss of 30.1 lbs in just short of 90 days.
Thank you for the challenge.
Scalemedown.

Looks like you are doing a good job with losing weight. Are you doing primarily cardiovascular exercises and watching your diet to lose weight?
To get a consistent body fat percentage count each day, make sure you are weighing yourself and obtaining your numbers at the same time each day. Your body fat percentage has decreased a small bit. If you want to reduce your body fat percentage, then you will need to do muscle building exercises. Cardiovascular exercises will help you lose weight, but you will also lose muscle mass if you are not doing resistance training exercises 2 to 3 days per week. You will also need to make sure you are consuming lean protein in your diet to help repair and build muscle.

I also want to lose some pounds, but I have some trouble finding things that work. Any suggestions?
My goal is to lose 20 pounds. I previously lost 60 pounds from May 2011 through December 2012 and would like to trim down a bit more.
Anyone interested?

@CoachMarcus, I am mainly doing walking and a half hour on the elliptical every day, as to my diet it is between 800 to 1000 cal intake every day 20g Nett Carbs 60g Protein and remainder in healthy fats, Everyday I aim for 1200 cals but cant seem to squeeze them in without feeling ill, so I have slowed my exercise a little to adjust my body slowly to a higher intake, but have also raised my protein intake to 70g a day as I was concerned that I may be burning more muscle than fat. I plan to add in some Zumba (for the over 60's) to my exercise regimen when it arrives, with hand weight weights, as my heart rate and heart strength needs improving as well as my overall body strength.
Cheers Ruby.

@RubyH As we grow older the body naturally loses muscle mass. Zumba will be a good cardiovascular workout. However, I recommended adding resistance training for your body's major muscle groups: Arms, Back, Chest, and Legs. You can use your body weight, dumbbells, resistance bands, or machines. If you don't know where to begin, I suggest scheduling an appointment with one of the trainers at the gym you are attending.
